DA Baracus
I imagine we'll be seeing more 'Journalist's Head On A Pole' matches now.
cb_diamond
Lots of more reputable wrestling journalists (there's an oxymoron if ever there was one) now saying there is no deal at the moment
forameus
And the less reputable ones furiously backpedalling and trying to change the narrative they originally spun. Tale as old as time.
Tiger Driver
If any news is going to come out regarding a multi billion dollar publicly traded company being sold, I doubt it's going to initially come from Reddit users or wrestling journalists no matter how reputable they are.
Mark Connolly
If the Saudis do take over, I hope we see some crossover with their other properties. Braun Strowman coming on up front for Newcastle when they need a goal, or Ian Poulter standing over a birdie putt, only to receive an RKO out of nowhere would be tremendous

It's a call back to Akira Maeda doing something similar to Riki Choshu in 1987 which fractured Choshu's orbital bone resulting in Maeda being suspended & eventually leaving NJPW. It's done a spectacular job in building interest in the match and it's great to see Okada lose that cool as a cucumber demeanor.

Always draped in red, white and blue; shat himself when he came up against a non-compliant opponent who was bigger than him; and had a ticker tape parade to celebrate not winning the biggest title available. His Mania match last year was pointless and should never have happened. I enjoyed it for what it was, a fun wee 12 minute brawl with plenty of call backs and a nice nostalgia feel. Owens was the perfect guy for that and you can tell he loved every minute of working with Austin, even if it was an understandably lessened version of him. There is absolutely no point whatsoever in sticking him in there with Reigns though. It's going to do neither guy any good at all.

Worked brilliantly. That being said though, that missed kick attempt at the end made me genuinely wince. Even the attempt at it looked really nasty. I get the feeling he's lost the rag for a split second there to even consider doing that.

What's known as a soccer kick & is relatively plentiful in Japanese wrestling.
