LogieLivi
Away tactics this season, play 5 CB's & 2 FB's in a 7-3-1 formation, just lump it up to dykes, get a foul, all the big CB's come up for the set piece and we get a goal, then keep a clean sheet.7-3-1? Fancy doing some more maths there son?I reckon we will see Irish superstar O'Doffin leave along with Pepe and Menga.Highly likely Hamilton and Tiffs out on loan. Again Tiffs didn't really impress in the championship last season.Stewart will be away surely?Theres not a single person that surely believes he is good enough and clearly hasn't shown it in pre season. Either that or he knows he's not going to be first choice so needs to leave for that reason.

Wasn't prolific but was invaluable to us that season leading the line to give us an out ball when Hardie was recovering from injury till December.

The thought had occurred to me although, with Ross and Gary in the squad, maybe the strategy isn't so unreasonable.

Maley is PT and included in those players, he wont ever play in the Premiership, he's just there for the bantz, and does a bit of coaching with Dykes etc. A few others will be shipped out on loan or released, anyway, not wishing to get into an inverted crowd w**k type debate, just doubt Livi would be offering higher wages than St Johnstone could afford on players. If you're looking at average first team salaries, there's some info here, from the Global sports salary survey. No idea how reliable it is though. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5140156/rangers-close-wage-gap-celtic/

There's not much you can read into from that given that £43k includes our cooks, folk doing the pie stalls, receptionists, groundsmen etc. Anyone on a wage from the club is included in that figure as we don't release a separate playing squad account

It mentions calculations based on "player level specifically." Although, if you say that your club (and possibly many more) don't release player salaries, then, as you say, other employees must be included. https://www.globalsportssalaries.com/GSSS 2019.pdf Edited July 22, 2020 by FTOF

That's a bit of a mystery itself then

thruthenight
Just watched the highlights, a couple of things stood out: - Dykes had a few really nice touches to bring runners into play. We'll really miss him if he goes. - McCrories kicks looked more accurate than I remember, but he still doesn't look confident claiming a high ball in a crowd - Max should've kept out their goal. And Killie will be raging about both of ours, even if Forrests technique was excellent.
