Rangers set sights on Shamal George deal after scouting mission (footballinsider247.com)

This would be a weird one, he's not been here too long. He's looked decent but you'd think there's better to come. He's not even a year into a 4(?) year deal so you'd be imagining we're looking at 2m+ just for the hassle of having to replace him after one season. Given we paid a fee for him, Colchester likely have a sell on % too, we pushed the boat out a bit to get him so surely would expect a similar experience in selling

Would be a little weird, but not too out there. I genuinely think he's been the best keeper in the league this year (with maybe slightly amber tinted specs on), and Rangers are desperate for a keeper. He'll be cheaper than a lot of other options they have.

If Rangers offer 1.2m? He's gone. Although we're certainly in a good negotiating position.

Cant see it personally. He had a very poor game on Saturday and I think he needs a couple of more years first team experience before there is any possibility of a big money move.

Personally I'd think it far more likely they'd look at someone like Liam Kelly.

Rangers linked with a player days before they'll be playing against them?

Nothing in this, same old boring shite.

Saw something the other day that they are interested in angus Gunn at Norwich and the fee getting talked about was around 5 million, If they want Shamal for that I'd be happy. Every time we seem to get them there is talk about them being interested in one of our players happened with Stryjeck, Dykes and also Noublemost recently,  just moving onto someone else.

Stryjek? Some especially imaginative journalism there.

The sole fucking member :D Today was the final straw for me, he's hopeless.

He's coming back from a huge injury and looked like he was getting a bit of confidence back in his play again the other day. He's a good backup option to Anderson but won't be challenging him for the starting spot anytime soon...far from hopeless

Looking at the teams that went into the Scottish Cup draw yesterday, that really was a disastrous waste of an opportunity.

Not allowed to be disappointed though because we're doing well in the league. Also "look where we were x years ago".

Think it would have been Killie away if the draw happened the exact same, would have been a decent chance to get to Hampden. Obviously more difficult than a home tie to a lower league side though, would have been nice to put our Scottish Cup ghost to bed properly.

I know what you're thinking but, at the end of the day, we were well beaten on Saturday; an off day for everyone.

It would probably have been worse if we'd lost by the odd goal and a catastrophic refereeing decision.

Onwards and upwards!

Being pragmatic i'm  somewhere in between the two,  really disappointed (pissed off) to have been knocked out at home to a lower league team, but not dwelling on it as we're in the best position we've been since coming back up to get a European spot. If we can keep our league form going a top 6 spot will have been secured a few games before going into the split, which will calm the nerves a good bit after last season's bottle job against Motherwell.

Just hope Bruce isn't going to be out injured again, and miss the run in, was really looking forward to seeing him and Nouble playing together the rest of the season.

Anyone seen any updates regarding Anderson’s injury on Saturday? Would be nice to know what’s going on with him, badly needed for the run in

Would be a nightmare to lose him at this stage two seasons in a row.

Not sure if a loan is possible but we're back to looking very light up front.

It'd significantly change the way we play too. Anderson gives us an option for through balls. Guthrie and Nouble at centre forward are mostly back to goal. Then our wide attackers aren't the type to make penetrating runs beyond the striker. So we lose depth to our attack without Anderson. We can end up just playing in front of the opposition defence like last Saturday.

Martindale pre-match for rangers game saying Anderson would train today (or Thursday not sure when interview was recorded), and might be okay for the game. Sounds promising though that’s it’s not long term, typically start nouble in these kind of games so would be tempted to rest Bruce for the week

If Nouble's time out is anything to go by, he's telling us Anderson is out until April

That's Martindale speak for Anderson wont be in the match day squad for another 3 games, then i'll have him on the subs bench not playing for another 2 games.

We usually start Nouble up front against Sevco right enough, to give us an out ball and get us up the ptch, so it isn't as big a miss if Anderson doesn't play.
