Badura and Hastie back at it having a go at fans once again, a bit slyer this time, but comes across as incredibly unprofessional and embarrassing. Us and against them mentality from them again.

Yeah we all can be guilty of it at times, being entrenched in an us v them positions, posting sarcastic remarks and digs, our support is so often divided on internal affairs. Shooting ourselves in the foot getting into it attacking fans when it's club representatives though, they aren't achieving anything in the way of mending bridges.

Needs to stop. There is absolutely no good that can come from club employees having a go at the fans, regardless of whether they have been criticised.

You are actively engaging in a conversation mocking fans. You’re an employee of the club, stop attacking the customers.

Try again - I sent out a tweet congratulating the club on getting the highlights out so fast, Hack said what he said and I replied with a mistake he made - I was attacking him - stop being so sensitive ffs

Really enjoyed the game yesterday - thought we played okay in the first half, second half was outstanding and should have been 5 if Yengi could put the ball in the back of the net.

Enjoyed not having Muirhead wide, would love to see him more of a number 9 and see how he does there. Shinnie did well for his first start, and thought Lewis Smith was superb when he came on too. Pittman showing he's definitely not finished.

Looking forward to Queens Park on Friday, first away test of the season!

Think the difference was in the 2nd half we started getting balls to Yengi's feet for him to run at goal, 1st half it was punts up to him with his back to goal and no room to turn. He's so much better when he can get the ball passed to him and run up the pitch.

This is partly dependent on what the opposition are doing. We begin our build up with the centre backs splitting wide and our defensive mid dropping between them. Dunfermline had two strikers and an attacking mid which was a natural fit to press man-for-man on our deepest trio. Trying to play out in that situation is not wise, especially when we had Nottingham instead of Montano in there. That saw us more often just going back to George who'd knock it long. That in itself isn't so bad as not only does it stop us being robbed of possession close to our goal, it also means that at least when these punts go up to Yengi, we're man-for-man up there too because Dunfermline have committed players to a forward press on our back line, meaning they've less players in defence. That makes it more likely we'll win the second ball from Yengi's knock downs.

This is different to last season when opponents would not press our back line yet we'd still get Sean Kelly or whoever at wide centre back to loft it forward to Guthrie's head. The opposition were hanging back in a compact block so had plenty players around Guthrie to win the second ball from his knock downs. We had Pittman by himself trying to win those second balls off Guthrie against about 3 opponents every time. Useless strategy.

Yesterday it was always going to be the case either that Dunfermline wouldn't maintain that aggressive press all match, 34 year old Wotherspoon was not going to be able to press on Brandon beyond the first half, so they were always going to drop back. At that point, we'd be able to start our shorter passing building and also to push our own midfield up higher, really taking the game to them. The first half was slightly uncomfortable viewing yesterday because Dunfermline were going for it that half and had they got a lead, we'd have had an awkward afternoon. However, going in with the scores level and the way things were set up tactically, we were the likely winners from that point.

As you say, when Yengi gets space he can run riot. Once we were 2-0 up and Dunfermline were pushing up trying to get back in the game, Yengi was thriving with our counter attacks. We're extremely lucky to have him. Against a team sitting in he gives us a target for crosses or into feet. On the break he has great pace and dribbling. He hasn't scored yet but his all-round performances have already been good and there's a lot more to come from him.

We'll need to come up with something different when we play Falkirk, because they pressed QP all game, and didn't drop off 2nd half. It was quite an aggressive press too and forced a few mistakes in QP's defence. Knocking it up to Yengi all game will make eye bleeding viewing, he's tall but not great in the air.

We don't play them for a few games yet so hopefully there'll be more confidence in the side by then. Yesterday's team were reeling from a defeat to a League Two side and I actually feel Sole carried us a bit. Well, inspired us, at least. He was showing the confidence his teammates weren't first half and his desire to keep forcing the issue played a part in the opening goal.

We were attempting to play it short in build up first half yesterday but Nottingham was an obvious weak link in possession plus there's still a lack of familiarity between the defence and midfield. Brandon was showing a bit of hesitation as well, the booking he got first half was due to him taking a shit first touch. Holding mid is a new position for him. Its not the same position he played at the end of last season as he was more of a high pressing centre mid then. When we had the ball he just watched it get launched over his head. Now he's expected to drop in and take the ball and play it out himself. He improved as the game went on yesterday, though, and you could see his confidence growing. He was unlucky not to score with that chance Pittman laid on for him.

First time on since the match, really enjoyed it and it’s so nice to see a winning team again who look like they have an ounce of confidence.

Did anyone take in the Trust fun day? I only make it just before kick off.

Don't go on the FB page that often, esp after a defeat, but seen as we won i thought it would be quite positive. However there seems to be another Ultra group, and they sit along from the original Ultras, competing with one another, singing different songs at the same time, chucking stuff at the younger ones. FFS we've got enough opposition fans that can't stand us without our own fans not getting on.

The flares need stopped, yes they look good, but they smell rank and can cause breathing problems for older and younger fans, plus they're not meant to be allowed inside grounds. Looks like the club are trying to deal with it sensibly though and have conversations with the young fans, instead of heavy handed tactics of just chucking them out.

The young lads were brilliant yesterday, ground was silent after they were turfed out. I don’t wanna hear anyone connected with the club moan and complain about us not having any fans again. Livingston have always been a very insular club and it’s not getting any better. Most clubs have been more welcoming to younger fans.

Seems a big wedge of "them" & "us" developing between the club and the fans sadly

The SM debacle is one example of that

Tbf only one was kicked out because he was identified as lighting a flare. The rest left of their own accord.

Would be nice for both them and C3 to get on with each other because they would make a good atmosphere together.

Yet when the club tried to get fans in to understand what's going wrong and what the club can do to bridge that gap, no one is interested 🤔
