Frank Booth
Only 6 and a half thousand at the Delle Alpi tonight to see Juve against Maccabi
Raving On
The Italians only seem to care about Serie A. For a Coppa Italia game last season there was only about 750 folk there. The Binos played the same night and got a larger crowd than that. Juve = diddy team
Steve McQueen
The problem is that Juve get there support from all over Italy while the local's all support Torino. The fans all hate the Stadio Delli Alpi (Both Juve & Torino fans) & it can be tough getting fans to travel midweek. There has been talk of Juve moving from Turin to Imola or Marinello (where Ferrari F1 are based) but nothing has come to that yet.
Tormod Macleod
I would imagine it's got a lot to do with the fact that the oppossition was Maccabi. Also the fact that Big European clubs don't really bother about the first group phase of the sham-ponce league. It's a bit like Celtic only half filling their stadium against Falkirk Or even like ICT less than half filling Pittodrie for Celtic's visit. RiG
There has been talk of Juve moving stadiums for years. Their new stadium was only going to hold about 20,000 due to the normally poor attendances they get.
