CGR
Doubt you'd find anything decent for less than £350 within walking distance of the uni. I'm paying £400 this year for a good two bed. Was £350 last for a white five bed and £400 the year before for a decent five bed. You'd generally be right but there are bargains to be had, as Widge refers to above; you just have to be quick or know someone who's got a space in their cheaper flat going. I'm paying £325 for my place in Marchmont, which is a steal. The flat itself is in good nick as well.
afca32
First night of freshers I smash my phone and get taken in by an ambulance then the police. Good start.

smpar
Moved into Aberdeen yesterday, had a cracking night last night and at least a few folk in my halls are a good laugh.
BarraJag
I'm just going into my 4th and final year of my business honours degree at Stirling. As hard as some of it has been I'm not sure I wanna leave
AberdeenHibee
I am still living in Old Aberdeen despite having moved on to a full-time job since graduation last summer. Wish I was going back for this freshers week rather than a 9-5 looks buzzing already.

Carl Cort's Hamstring
Today we learnt that it's extremely difficult to concentrate on aspects of educational philosophy when there are a couple having sex in the window of their hotel room over the road.
Guns Show
Aberdeen is a great city for student life - shame that the freshers weeks are spread out over a 3 week period this year. It was much better when it was just one big one held at Liquid. What clubs have you guys been finding yourselves drawn towards? Quite a few this year running big freshers events: Liquid, Garage, Underground all within 5 minutes of each other as well keeps it interesting.
Meathead
Bump. Anyone at Glasgow ever done Exploring the Cosmos? Need a diddy 1st year course to do next semester and I've heard it's quite easy.
Dave1875
£10 for a key fob at RGU that I'll probably never use. Only real complaint about RGU so far is it's location (well in terms of travelling to and from anyway)
Supras
Bump. Anyone at Glasgow ever done Exploring the Cosmos? Need a diddy 1st year course to do next semester and I've heard it's quite easy. I've heard from others that the better the name, the worse the course. Pirates and Terrorists* from Honours politics being a cited example. But given the structure of Glasgow Uni you can bash for just about any nonsense to make up the credits in second year. I'd plump for Film and TV studies or such. *name may be slightly off before Ad Lib corrects me.

die hard doonhamer
Currently going through the UCAS application for next year, seriously considering carrying on to degree after my HND. Applying for mechanical engineering at Heriot-Watt, Dundee, RGU, Napier and Strathclyde. Will only consider going if I get 3rd year entry though.
Killiesquirrel
Also currently doing my UCAS application, applying for Sports Journalism at UWS in Ayr. It's a course I've got my heart set on, just wished there was another uni that done it. Saying that I've not heard much reviews from students about uws so it may be okay.
