Nibali has been kicked out of the race after getting a tow back up to the leaders. What a walloper.

Saw the tow on ITV4 highlights. Yet he passed comment on Froome being kicked off a GT for the same, in 2010, whilst arguing over the tdf Croix de Fer incident! At least Aru will be happy.

Nibali is one of the most loathsome riders in the peleton. The DQ is a fitting end to his GTs with Astana. If Vino does not want him anymore only a year after winning the TdF, he must have a big problem.

Watched tonight's highlights & both Nibali & his DS are talking complete pish in claiming it was only a 100-150 Meter 'boost'. When you see a gap from the group he was in of about 1km within a minute or two.

In his interview, he has the audacity to say the punishment was only so severe because of who he is! They were caught red handed, bellends.

I notice they're also focusing on 'sticky bottles' on tonight's show, specifically Bouhani. On watching it, he was gaining no advantage, as he hadn't caught up to the next group on the road, or left behind the one he was in.

100 SW fr fine for both Bouhani & his DS. No doubt Astana will be complaining. But as I've said, there appeared to be no distinct advantage being gained during this offence.

Good win on his GT debut for Orrica's Caleb Ewan. A name we'll be hearing a lot more of over the years methinks. Showed Sagan & Degenkolb a clean pair of heels in the sprint.

Very reminiscent of Robbie McEwan.

Yep, it was a terrific finish coming from quite a fair way out. Won fairly comfortably in the end too.

The Chavez/Dumoulin battle has brightened up the first week, whilst the GC favourites have been waiting for the major climbing to start.

Will be interesting to see how Chavez goes in the HC stages.

Decent stage y/day, with Aru setting his stall out at the first chance. Chavez interview good, doesn't class himself as a contender & won't do ALL the chasing, but wants to stay focused on his own race. Intelligent thinking. Froome caught for a bunch of seconds, that wipes out the advantage he had over the other GC riders, but I think he's just riding himself back into shape. ITT & stage 11 will find out if he's got it for this one.

Poor Peter Sagan, knocked off his bike by a motorbike in final few kilometres. He should have been fighting for the win. No wonder he kicked the motorbike and vented his anger with a few expletives!

Chaves is a breath of fresh air in interviews. He clearly loves his sport and racing. Also enjoyed the telly footage of Quintana congratulating the Orica Green Edge DS on the team's performance in the first week.

They really have to do something about the motorbikes, it's been ridiculous lately.

IMO, the riders should delay tomorrow's start.Have it out with the commissars, & outriders. Demand Sagan's fines are rescinded & only then start the stage

Cover the Tour, don't interfere with it.
