Desert Nomad
Cavendish with a terrible sprint, hit the front too early. In the past he'd have cruised home with a tailwind, doesn't have the power of old though. Also slowed up handing the yellow jersey to Cancellara. Tony Martin should be livid given the work he did for Cavendish.

Desert Nomad
Cavendish deserves a good smack in the mouth from Martin.
kiddy
I thought Etixx burnt themselves out too much in the final km's. Kiwatowski & Martin put in a power of work, as Uran rightly did zip. But I thought Cav should have waited on the attack & countering, when Renshaw was out of gas at 500, instead of leading it out. kerrdavidson95
Can someone explain to me why cycling merchandise is so pricey? £45 for a Team Sky polo shirt? Its about the same price as F1 gear.
kiddy
Froome in yellow tomorrow night...What makes you think that? Thought the first week was a across Northern France, including pave &, most likely shite weather. He's in a good place at present, with a couple of others under pressure straight away, but they've 3 weeks to recover losses.

AberdeenBud
Didn't see the stage but Cav getting absolute pelters on Twitter. Did he actually sit up in a huff and cost Martin yellow? Complete w**k behaviour if so. Great day for Froome and Berti.

Complete w**k behaviour if so. Great day for Froome and Berti. Nah, bit of an over reaction from some folk who should know better imo. He certainly eased up but not in a huff, just because he knew he was beat. He and his team made a total arse of the sprint though, Cav ended up on the front far too early and effectively he ended up as lead out man for the other three.
kiddy
Cav's the first to thank his team publicly with wins. Think he owes apologies to TM & the sponsors. Without racing through the line, he's cost them a day in yellow & media exposure. Edited July 5, 2015 by kiddy

Cancellara could hold for a few days given his prowess on the cobbles. He'll struggle up the Mur tomorrow though. Shuggie_Murray7
I watched yesterday's stage last night and then read Cavendish's comments in the paper today. Fucking hell It turns out it was all of his teams fault. And apparently he never sat up on the way to the line, costing Tony Martin yellow.

Notice he took to Twitter calling everybody who criticised him imbeciles and that cycling isn't a computer game.
kiddy
Notice he took to Twitter calling everybody who criticised him imbeciles and that cycling isn't a computer game. Yes they collectively messed up as a team, but by cruising across the line he was caught out by Cancellara, which took Yellow off Martins back. First's first & the rest, where he was, are nowhere. His finish was akin to not dipping at the tape in athletics, or breaking your fingers to win in the pool. Maybe that's why imbeciles win Gold at the Olympics & Cav hasn't. peasy23
Two big crashes in quick succession, the race has been temporarily neutralized. Cancellara came down in the second crash. Fkn hell, it's been restarted before I even finished typing!

Desert Nomad
Incredible high speed crash, Cancellara over the handlebars, race neutralised. Edit: neutralisation didn't last long. Edit 2: neutralised again, and possibly stopped. Edited July 6, 2015 by Desert Nomad
