NorthernLights
New Falloch album has a confirmed title and release date. The atmospheric metal group Falloch are about to release their highly anticipated second album, This Island, Our Funeral, on Candlelight Records on September 22nd in Europe, and October 21st rest of the world.Formed as a two piece in 2010, with their debut album, Where Distant Spirits Remain, they worked with Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Ulver) and they explored the atmospheres and feelings found within the landscapes of Scotland to create a vivid journey encapsulating the beauty of this small country. Which MSN metal described as 'A drop dead gorgeous haunting piece of work.'Thematically aiming for a darker direction with This Island, Our Funeral, Falloch still manage to capture the atmosphere of the Scottish landscapes while creating a more direct and energetic sound. In writing this album Falloch were inspired to create a stronger coherent sound as a band and to have more charismatic lead vocals, performed by their new vocalist/guitarist Tony Dunn. On the six tracks of this album, the band takes the listener on a journey from tranquil serene sounds and landscapes through to thick walls of sound brought together by soaring vocals and emotive performances.Recording the drums at Jaime Gomez Arellano's Orgone Studios (Ghost, Cathedral, Ulver) in September 2013, proved to be a great experience and the band decided that they would return to work with Gomez for the mixing and mastering in February 2014 after being awarded funding from Creative Scotland to help produce a second album. After seeing Falloch live Terrorizer (UK) simply stated 'There isn't a person left in the room who doesn't feel like they've experienced something special.' Falloch are now ready to display their new found sense of purpose through their evocative and dynamic sound. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153026503639128&set=a.10150340219214128.424046.359288149127&type=1

mrcat1990
It used to be a five year wait for a Tool album which seemed like an age before. It's now pushing eight years since the release of 10,000 Days.

sonsism
Corey Taylor tweeted something in regards to Friday so hopefully we'll get something tomorrow. Slipknot are the only heavy band I listen to really so pretty excited. They still know how to hype up an album, that's for sure.
