Think Prince Paul did a lot of work on it. Was reading about it elsewhere was supposed to be some good breaks to play around with.
RR #1
Tragic that so few people have heard the awesome group that were 'New Kingdom'.

My brother got right into them after hearing my Cheap Thrills and Good Times 12"s and was talking to me about their lyrics the other day and how they don't make any sense. He was on about "I love to put my kids clothes on" or something like that. I wasn't paying that much attention to be honest as he was off his tits and doing my nut in.

It was the greatest thing I had ever seen. Loved hip hop ever since.
Boostin' Kev
I think the reason they never get mentioned is that as far as actual hip hop goes they weren't very good. Releases like theirs in the mid to late 90s just sounded like "hip hop" made for indie fans imo. Downloaded the Ghostface and Bad Bad Not Good album 'Sour Soul' the other day and had it on repeat ever since. The instrumental track 'Stark's Reality' is ridiculously cool.

Jmothecat2
Eminem teasing on Twitter about ten minutes ago but it sounds like he's releasing a new single today/tomorrow.
Eednud
This song by AB Original won the Best Song award at the South Australian Music Awards last night which really means diddly squat but they’re supposedly a hip-hop band.
JamieStevenson
One of the flattest songs I've heard in recent times from the Rap God himself.
Jmothecat2
One of the flattest songs I've heard in recent times from the Rap God himself. I quite liked it, though I seem to be in the minority. I quite like the slower, more reflective, sound he has in this compared to most of his lead singles.
Richey Edwards
I used to listen to rap music when I was younger but stopped listening to it for years. I am really enjoying the Wu Tang Clan now. Has anyone heard any of their newer albums? Any good?
Richey Edwards
"Life After Death" by Notorious BIG. Back in the day I was never overly enamoured with this album and hadn't listened to it for about 12 years, but I am listening to it right now and it is actually a lot better than I remember. Maybe I was too young to appreciate it?
