As for Peter Kay, find it interesting people are saying "Everything he's done since Phoenix Nights is crap" Has he really done much since? Max & Paddy and some Comic relief video? So one major project and to be fair it wasn't brilliant but then seeing as it's a Phoenix Nights spin-off for 2 bit characters it was always going to be tough to match up. I have heard some people who see live shows on Channel 4 say he has no new material but then these shows are generally alternative nights from the same tour as are available on DVD so what do you expect? Laid Back Maverick Posted May 10, 2005 Share Posted May 10, 2005 Watched "Comic Aid Live & Uncut" and wished it had been cut as the following people didn't even may my lips twinge into a smile: -Graham Norton -Jo Brand -The Bear from Bo Selecta -Jimmy Carr -Otis Lee Crenshaw (AKA Rich Hall) -Dawn French -Miranda Richardson -Ardal O Hanlon -Simon Pegg -Jessica Stevenson Overall though the rest of the comedy was a bit pish anyway - Jack Dee was probably the funniest (and he was only hosting the show) with some alright performances from Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Dylan Moran & surprisingly Alistair McGowan. Aside from that, I've never laughed at: -Julian Clary( I was originally going to say Julian Clary has never made me smile, but then that would be a Clary-esque joke ) -Brian Conley (sp?) - that "it's only a puppet" pish -Roy Chubby Brown. My girlfriend's seen him live 5 times and claims he's the best comedian she's ever heard. I've let to hear him tell a joke (Note to Royston Vasey, saying c**t isn't a joke) -Paul O Grady / Lily Savage -Jim Davidson. Tory w**k. -Craig Hill. Had to put up with him flouncing around Geoffrey Tailor wanting the latest "Kilt fad". Get tae f'ck with your leather kilt. -Ben Stiller.
