But if Whyte had never come along would they still have been a basket case once knocked out of Europe that year? Did they spend frivolously on players under Whyte, I really can't remember?

Players brought in under Whyte;

Ortiz 0.5m, Wallace 1.5m, Goian 0.8m, Bocanegra 0.4m, Bedoya 0.4m, McKay 0.32m, Aluko 0.15m, Celik 0.24m, Bartley on loan, total £4.3m.

Players sold;

Bougherra 1.7m. Bendiksen 0.25m, Jelavic £5.5m, McKay 0.065m.

Total £7.51m, £3.2 profit, Bendiksen,Jelavic and McKay were sold in January 2012 so any of that money possibly went in the administrators pot.

Spending spree isn't what I remember. I think there was a clause in the Murray/Whyte deal that required investment in the squad of X millions of pounds (X might be 10 I can't remember details) To accomplish this Craig Whyte dished out massive multi year deals to current players (Whittaker, McGregor, Davis, Naismith) which he probably saw as the cheapest way of meeting his contractual obligations. They probably signed 5 or 6 (I remember Wallace, Bocanegra and Goian but there were probably a couple of others I'm forgetting)

Was the money spent and was it down to mccoist?

SDM ensuring more money paid out by someone else on his 'beloved' rangers other than digging into his own pockets ?

Again fingers should be pointed at him for helping to add to the debt at rangers that eventually killed the club.

Interesting that rangers are trying to clawback the full £25m when they did indeed spend the money without fulfilling their part of the deal.

Ticketus paid that money and it was spent. Collier Bristow may have been acting on behalf of whyte but the contract was money upfront for future season tickets money. Could a counter claim be launched to claw back any loses if they lose the case saying rangers weren't entitled to 80% of that as they weren't able to complete the next 4 years.

1. Oh great for you, billy big baws. Show us your prediction then. All you did was post a photo of a bloke with a balloon and a link to RM. Sad that you take this shite so seriously.

2. You don't know what Ps&Ds means? Just PM all your palls on Rangers Media. Without doubt they will be au fait with the term.

Read the accounts again and show where the sum of £65 million liability is mentioned. The full liability to creditors was £37,938 million before taking into account cash in hand and any equivalents, showing the net debt at £27 million.

£37,938 million? Worse than we thought then.

I would think that if you haven't got a login to RM then you have to be a true bluenose. After all it seems that so many on here who aren't bluenoses are quite anxious to be part of that forum.
