WhiteRoseKillie
Hmmm.... The P&B Sleuth appear to be kinda quiet this afternoon. ETA: Looks like Tedi and No.8's sacrifice of principles could all be in vain. Shame, that. ETA: Looks like Tedi and No.8's sacrifice of principles could all be in vain. Shame, that. You'd think they'd be lording it after another giant killing night.ETA It looks like a lot of the protestors are carrying on with the boycott. Sorry I based my opinions of Rangers fan protests on bottlers like 8 and Tedi. There are still loyal fans out there, keep it up lads your boycott will rid Rangers of spivs yet. And another company and very likely everything else. Go the rhebels. Edited August 6, 2014 by stonedsailor

Bloomogganners
So: the share issue to raise £10M by the end of August is now being reorganised to raise £4M by the end of the year... they've got £1.5M in loans due for the end of the month... and ST sales are halved. Somehow you doubt this was in the plan. Or the replacement plan. Yet McCoist keeps signing and wanting players? Hmm.................. speeds up Sale and lease back.

AberdeenBud
Season ticket sales have halved, share issue has no interest and looking at securing another loan. There's no way this club can survive a full season. How much could they get for players? About 500k for Wallace? Sub 20k attendance for the first competitive home game of the season and now a huge shortfall in the share issue. It's all falling apart So: the share issue to raise £10M by the end of August is now being reorganised to raise £4M by the end of the year... they've got £1.5M in loans due for the end of the month... and ST sales are halved. hellbhoy
Just what the Big Thread needed to revive it. the cloned club in financial soapy After a quiet close season when there is no footy the newest senior club in Scotland splurged out on bringing in two expensive retiring forwards to help sell ST's which has somewhat backfired if the club ? or company whatever the fcuk they want to call it these days. So instead of preparing for the next season by cutting back on costs the stupid fucks have decided to increase costs at Ibrox because they are shitting themselves that Hearts & Hibs might take the two available promotion spots this season. Now we have a failed share issue and have what it looks like they have well overspent for the upcoming season by millions once again, how long before it all unravels unless they actually do get the cash needed to limp into the top tier of Scottish Football ? Now remember the parent company is dumping all the debt onto the club and the parent company is most likely to have ownership of the assets meaning the club when it goes tits up like the previous incarnation will be thrown onto the fire to burn whilst the orcs run around like headless chickens wondering where it all went wrong and who is to blame ?, anyone basically It could get interesting as the major shareholders fight over trying to keep the abomination alive by any means possible to reach the promised land that is the Premiership Division. No fire-sale of players that could raise income and decrease the players budget helping the club survive ?, what the fcuk is the BoD thinking of ? Once again overly exaggerated ambition at the clubs company and it's fans are going to be the clubs undoing unless someone there stands up and says enough is enough and then pulls back on everything to keep the club alive even if the clubs ambitions have to be drastically lowered just to keep the club afloat meaning diddy club ambitions. -

Is the top flight ever realistically going to be the promised land they dream of, should they be able to limp into it though? Yes, there's more money comes your way for being in it, but the gulf between the top two tiers is less than it was in this regard. Obviously, the hope is too that returning to the 'big time' would shift all those STs at higher prices and enhance the scope for sponsorship and TV deals etc. We are not talking about the EPL here though. As I see it, the only real way that Rangers could spend as they are and manage, would be if they were getting CL money and right now, that lies a long way off. But what of the shorter term? what happens this season? Another admin? Sale and leaseback? A different type of share issue, permitted via the AGM, which proves successful?

Indeed, and the loss of that was what helped to kill the old club. They're not alone, mind - Leeds "dreamt the dream" which turned into a nightmare, with a shedload of high-earners not competing in the competition they were bought/retained for - and even Man U were unable to resist selling Ronaldo in order to post a profit the last time they failed to get out of the group stages. A club like the rangers is in an even worse position, as the money in the domestic game isn't going to sustain an organisation, or a stadium, of "big club" status, let alone a squad capable of winning anything of note. Fucking lovely.

AberdeenBud
If RIFC is so short of cash that they need to “avoid the costs of preparing a prospectus” says a lot about their current state.

stonedsailor
Realistically who exactly is going to buy these shares? They have been knocked back by city investors ... it's the supporters they are targeting. £4 million .... If Laxey, the Easdales or the others are unwilling to pony up that small amount to see them through ... It shows you what a bad investment it is. At what point do the authorities start questioning this bunch of cowboys? What's four million going to achieve? Maybe pay some bonuses before the next lot of fast talking con men take over. The Rangers fans should put an end to the cash flow now.
