stonedsailor
I'd agree - there's an almighty stitch up going on behind closed-doors . No way are the Rangers buying said players for SFL3 & 2. I know McCoist is on record in saying we must also compete in the cups, but my assumption is Regan, Liewell and the diddy clubs are bowing to the cash-gods at Sky TV and their shiny baubles. It's known as 'integrity' these days Whores - that's how I see the grubby b*****d diddies and plastics of the SPL. Why bend to the cash gods when you can extort more out of the already bent over Sevco? All we need now is for everyone to take their cut of the money former Rangers fans are thinking is going to save their club then tell them, "only joking boys, there's no way Sevco is a continuation of Rangers but cheers for all yer brew money anyway."
mps02
There's been a notable, telling silence on the SPL's failure to pay out the monies due to those bastions of integrity they represent. Oh fly your double standards high... Bendarroch, I am sure you will have noticed that the SPL has partially paid its debts (not all the amount, but some) Now when will Sevco or Chuckie do the same? Its really a fairly easy question as the five party agreement, agreed that 'all footballing debts' must be paid. Not I am sure just the Scottish football ones (minus Dundee United, although it seems to be really unclear who is liable in that case.) Ayr United pay their debts and have paid the price (ie really, really crap players) for years. Our pals up the road are going through some pain but are paying off their debts, albeit slowly. Remind us all, did Rangers (IA/IL) pay their debts?
Ned Nederlander
The Rangers had more at Ibrox last weekend than the rest of Scottish football combined. That's a startling outcome - even to the haters of our club. We'll be fine. The rest? We'll see. I know what I expect the outcome to be. A club with the fanbase the size of The Rangers was always going to climb back up the leagues, the diddy clubs knew this when they voted us back into the league ... but Rangers still went tits up in the first place with this huge support whilst the diddies have just continued to survive despite three men and a dug turning up every week - posturing about how great The Rangers fan base is when we are still on our erse in the Third must make the diddy fans wonder if we have any situational awareness at all !? Rangers brought this on upon themselves - we can pump-our-chests all we want about the money 'Rangers' brought to the league and how everyone will suffer because of it but clubs budgeted honestly and those budgets have had to be revised post haste in the wake of our humiliation - 30 clubs manage just fine without a visit from either of the Glasgow 'giants' and the SPL will do the same, getting caught short this season is our fault and hardly something to be banging on about from all the way down in Division 3.
Bairnforever1992
So then a fine of £10M or £20M fine for Sevco. YAAAAASSSSSS!!!! You're going to be bust by christmas and shut down like Woolworths.
Umbungo1874
I believe all Scottish football debts have been paid, apart from the installment (not due yet) to hearts and the 30k to Utd (in dispute with spl) Outside of Scotland I have no idea, there has been no statements within Rangers or from the teams we are due money to, I hope that Charlie clarifies the situation soon He asked about Rangers your reply was about Sevco.
HTG
If they are found guilty there is a clear case for removing titles and associated prize money including earnings from european activity.

GreenockRover
So, we're back to talking about incompetent administrators holding secret chats behind closed doors trying to find a way of FIXING the system to get SevCo Works XI into a top tier league and dressing up that corrupt decision as something that 'is the way forward' or 'is good for the game in Scotland' (or insert some other bullsh*t, corporate catch phrase) ? Can't see that going down too well with the fans at all. Any attempt to secure television money by gerrymandering a new league set up for TV's purposes will be to the detriment, not benefit, of our game. It is wholly incompetent fir any club to be so heavily reliant on TV income, if anything it should be merely additional funding for clubs not irreplaceable. Our country is in desperate need of people with the vision and the balls to undo our ADDICTION to tv money, the cocaine of our game, or the prognosis could be fatal. Bendarroch
Its really a fairly easy question as the five party agreement, agreed that 'all footballing debts' must be paid. Let's be perfectly clear here, I'm waiting to hear quite how this 'five party agreement' managed to keep monies due to the club away from it for the benefit of clubs over the creditors pool. If Duff & Phelps, the SFA, SPL, SFL and yes, Green too, have cooked up something rotten, then hell mend the lot of them. The club is currently in the midst of a number of on-going court cases, claims, counter claims and investigations - I expect fraud charges to follow for the guilty parties. If those charges include the Scottish football authorities then so be it. It wont be the first time this year they have acted well beyond their remit.
Bendarroch
If true, and I have no real reason to doubt it, then this is the best piece of business done by the SPL. Looks like the league wont go bankrupt at all. How sweet is it that all the former Rangers fans have gotten together to buy season tickets to save the SPL? Sevco claiming £10M in season ticket sales, the SPL saying "gies that, we need to pay the SFL and the SPL member clubs". Thanks guys. Aye, yer welcome So nae mair greetin' from the likes of you about why we're more than happy to see your mob and more of the diddies hitting the wall
HTG
I think even you would understand that prize money would have nothing to do with the newco, but dont let me stop from dreaming about all the potential outcomes, reality will be somewhat different Depends. If they are seen as a continuation of the old club then anything is possible in terms of newco. If not then taking money off newco is difficult. Which means a £10m fine has the same issues. If they are separate for football purposes then they will take the titles away from the oldco whose history will have stopped anyway.
Bendarroch
Christ sake, they bought Sandaza for £1m and now Daniel Larsson for £200K!!? I hope that the BDO will shut the Knuckledraggers FC down forever. Cribari was £1.5m. Black got a £500k signing on fee, Faure £300k with four or five more to follow. Come on another Zombie in the know that should set alarm bells ringing straight away. It was an amusing read mashing up of old and present knowledge. The end bit where he puts the EBTs as a mere clerical error. The supposed £10 million , why not £30 million as the prize money gained and European money over the 10 years but then why would you not alter the records to show these competitions were undermined by illegal/ sorry clerical error.
