Like 33% of turnover? I think we all know that the days of big signings and high wages are over but thanks for the concern,

If thats the case, assuming you want a team that can win the league and do well in Europe. Get ready to fork out a grand on a season ticket or £70 on matchday.

Our wages seem to get higher everytime some posts on here

Don't worry we'll have a good laugh at how much your spending to win division 1

Good man - you'll surely recognise and welcome the truth about the sordid things the plastics allowed their board to preside over. We can then debate why the plastic support stood by and did nothing. Nothing at all.

Rangers won the league with Souness, Woods, Butcher, Roberts, et al before Murray bought (the now defunct) Rangers.

Have to agree with the Captain here, Rangers cheating only began in 2001.

If thats the case, assuming you want a team that can win the league and do well in Europe. Get ready to fork out a grand on a season ticket or £70 on matchday.

Don't worry we'll have a good laugh at how much your spending to win division 1

Been down that road before, it doesn't work. I don't see why given time we can't have a team of home grown players capable of winning the SPL in the future, we have plenty of time on our hands. Just need a decent coaching and scouting system.

January 1st 2014 ! firesale at Ibrox and the exodus of the most expensive players to help Chucky Cheeses retirement fund.

By the end of said month in come the freebies that no one wanted to sign since the embargo kicked in because they were pish players and the wage bill comes down and so do results on the park.

Fans bring out their old pish stained sheets again and fly "WE DESERVE BETTER" and Chucky goes on TV explaining that debt had to be settled  even though there was talk of being debt free and these debts must be paid.

February 14th the second anniversary of the death of Rangers est 1872 the newco Rangers est 2012 file for administration for the debt crippled club that lost 30 million in revenue through Chuckies offshore investment ventures to help increase finances at the new club :) the club gets sold for a £1 again and POUNDLAND becomes TESCO

Yes you have, and yes, it doesn't work. Unsustainable.

I agree you could do it with home grown players, but unfortunately your club's transfer embargo situation and the bulk of your fans' attitude dictates that your club must overspend on players, even when the team are in the cesspit of the Scottish league system.

Rangers - always did, always will try to get the best players, even when unnecessary, to secure an advantage over your opponents. Even when playing plumbers, posties and bakers.

WATP (we always throw poundsatit).

Most teams will try and gain an advantage over opponents that's football, we have the fan base to ensure that the club is properly funded and run. It would surprise you about our fans attitudes, most bears accept our situation regarding overspending,

The transfer ban is effectively for one window, i hope we have our scouts looking for good youngsters leading up to the january one and if i get SFL rules correctly we can bring players in during the summer window, play them as trialists and register them once the ban expires. Our future squads must be mostly youths brought though supplemented by a few players being brought wisely and cheaply.

Fair enough, your opinion and debate is reasonable. However, although you assert that I'd be surprised about the fans attitude re. Overspending, it's difficult to deny that you have went way OTT this year, and the team you have would probably hold it's own easily in the league my lot are in. So, rhetorically, why did your fans not speak up at the purchases of the (my words here) mercenaries like Sandaza, the Brazilian guy and the other guy (French bloke)? Long term planning and early, unnecessary spending baffles me in this case; the seaside league could be won quite easily using home grown talent - yes, even using the kids - playing in a full time capacity in what is essentially a part-time league.

Good money after bad, methinks?

I had a thought.

Would £94m be the largest amount of unpaid tax fraud by a sporting institution?

Can someone who knows where to look check that out, there's potentially a new world record on the horizon. smile.gif

Got to agree, and the whole, we didn't have enough time excuse that's been used before doesn't wash.

The fact is, and McCoist has admitted it himself... The squad wasn't built to win the league, it was built to win the cups. Well thats what he said publicly.

What it does tho' is reeks of the old rangers arrogance, it looks like a display of, how dare you make us play in the third, look at the wages we pay, the players we have. It came across as, we are going to piss all over this league to make you look foolish. We are too big for the third.

Rangers have wasted 7 mil on wages this season, probably 3 times that over the length of contracts... Infant, if rangers had a realistic wage budget, they would never have needed the share issue, the spare wage cash could be used to do everything they need to do.

But let's be honest, there is no way, rangers fans would have accepted players of the calibre of the first and second division. Their WATP attitude forced the hand, the club had to buy marque players, to sell season tickets... Crafty Charlie tho... He's given them the big names... And via the share issue... It's the fans that are paying for those signings.

That is some amount of business people that have been screwed over by the quintessential British club.

What a shower of fucking scumbags RFC were

Spot on m8 and i wonder how many small buisness had cash flow problems after being bumped off the oldco

And lest we forget the poor soldiers who could have had better equipment ( you know the ones they really care about )

Disgrace of a club so they were but at least they are no more and you should take some solace from that
