Bigmouth Strikes Again
So we are releasing a young promising Norn Iron under 21 fullback who was excellent towards the end of last season and was given MOTM a couple of times and we are keeping Stevie Smith and Ricky Foster. They will both be on many times what the young lad is on. Sorry but this just so typical of the present regime Not to mention Kane Hemmings, cracking young player, why the f**k did you punt him?
No8.
Don't think he's ever played for NI u-21s. Good luck to him. We'll see how he goes.... He has certainly been involved in the squads. I have always suspected Stevie Smith was signed as a cheap replacement for Wallace.
No8.
Not to mention Kane Hemmings, cracking young player, why the f**k did you punt him? Hemmings had been on loan at Cowdenbeath and had banged in a fair few goals. Came back to Rangers and we were playing dreadful football at the time...Guy says 'He will never score at this level' I merely pointed out he had been scoring at 2 leagues above us...Guy replies...'For fucking Cowdenbeath?'
AberdeenBud
I found it astounding that Salary came out with that statement tonight ,so much so I had to double check it was today’s interview. This is a man who DEMANDED to know who these people are, within hours of a SFA verdict on RFC ,yet he cannot find his way in the last 4 months to demand were his new contract (50% reduction and all ) is? No wonder he looked visibly uncomfortable when that question was asked . The question now is will any hack have the balls to write the obvious story? Doubtful. We can all laugh but It must be absolutely murder to be an informed RIFC fan right now.

Bearwithme
Hemmings got a number of chances with us but, after early promise, didn't convince in the end. Again, good luck to him and we'll see where he goes.

He strolled around the pitch at Dens a few weeks ago and dominated all the shite the Bomber Brown signed.

bennett
What site was that on, then? Because you were conspicuous by your absence on the big thread, and I can't recall seeing your sparkling wit displayed anywhere else... Oh, hang on - I didn't realise that 1826hrs counts as "night-time" . Do you ever decide to live a little and stay up late to watch Coronation Street? There wasn't even any sign of you over on the top 5 Women over 40 thread - any reason you paid that one a visit, you creepy, stalking little moron? There is nothing at all worrying about this ^^^ post, nothing at all. Did that post upset you lol -
WhiteRoseKillie
Wee memo to any inadequate loners out there: Adding "lol" to a pathetic, repetitive wee jibe does not make it funny. If you ever do post something funny, the P&B community will show their appreciation by posting positive rep - as they do for posts which they find informative, or for those which add to a conversation or debate. The opposite is also true. Here to help - I've even given you an example.

Monkey Tennis
6 seasons out of 25 is not exceedingly rare. You're being deliberately misleading. The threshold of 25 years enabled you to be so, but you know fine well that Pozbaird' s point stands. Between around '96 or '97 and Oldco going under, the OF were only split at the top of the League once and that was in '06, by the club whose suicidal spending rivaled Rangers'. Shempamferash
Another couple of years of evading to take the promised pay cut, and Sally could buy the club himself.
dave.j
Can I just double check, ally is peddling a story to the media, who in turn feed it to the berz. Ally is not responsible for the wages at Ibrox? At what point does he wash his hands? He meets with the chief exec, says I need 8 million to win the league and here's a list of players I want... That's it, after that he has no input at all? Is that the party line? Edited January 17, 2014 by dave.j
Monkey Tennis
Don't know what all the fuss is about. CEO announced at AGM that there would have to be cost cutting this season and now he's attempting to implement those cuts. There will be no admin, he is just being prudent whilst seeking out the levels of investment/sponsorship that a club of Rangers' size needs to progress to the level it should be at. Everyone I know agrees we don't need to be paying out the wages we are for the level we are at. If we had had a half decent manager, it would have made a massive difference. So the players have not immediately agreed to a pay cut, don't believe it has been rejected out of hand btw. Something will be negotiated with the players. FWIF I don't think an across the board per cent cut is fair on the young boys as they are not on the huge wages. The big earners take a bigger cut. Anyway a solution will be found to balance the books and get the club through, no worries. We have a big lead and will easily finish top this season. Even after the necessary and temporary cost cutting, the team will be too strong for The Championship next season, although it may be wise to bring a new 'assistant' in to 'help' Ally (don't think binning him an option). I'm sure by this time next year, our commercial side will be doing a lot better and I don't see crowds dipping dangerously even with a price hike. With the bunch of slobbering dafties on here last night, you'd think there was something seriously wrong. Fkg mentalists. ETA seriously instead of serious for the pedantic fkwits. Obviously this dasodaha guy is so determined to conform to our beloved stereotype of the Rangers fan that he might very well be a timposter. I wonder if he might have a certain truth in the start of the above post though. As we've known due to AGM comments and the fact that most of us can count, cutbacks were required. The fact that something has now been attempted on this front maybe is a bit less significant than we'd like. Personally, I see another liquidation as unrealistic and another admin as unlikely, though certainly possible. Leaseback of the stadium after a sale, strikes me as entirely plausible though. While it would annoy Rangers fans and provide us with some sport, I don't actually see such a scenario as all that disastrous for Ranger however. Other clubs, like Dundee, have had to do it. Remember too that these fans have spent 18 months insisting that a liquidation isn't important. I don't imagine they'd let renting their ground derail the mythology too much.

Three, yes 3 , successful investment companies have now purchased notifiable chunks of TRIFC. That is something that should not be ignored. Bearing in mind that investing in a footballing "entity" very rarely results in profit for the shareholders through results on the pitch. eta I think the 'fans' would go ballistic (to no avail) if their precious Mordor was sold.
