djchapsticks
The first move to distance WWE from Vince McMahon's creative missteps has now arrived. Karrion Kross coming back and with Scarlett and his proper presentation to boot this time is a clear message that if Triple H is fully in charge of creative, then he's going to do with these guys what should have been done in the first place. Straight in at the top of the ladder as well like he should have been first time instead of fucking about getting beaten by midcarders and wearing S&M gladiator gear. This feels like a bit of a righting of many wrongs that were done to these two in a very short spell. I now fully expect to see Johnny Gargano back. He's played this entire situation best of anyone that he's fucked off to be a dad and the situation has sort of evolved in his favour since he's been gone. DA Baracus
Would love to see Gargano back. He's absolutely fucking magic in the ring. Wouldn't mind seeing him and Ciampa going at it on the main roster, but the guy can work with anyone.
forameus
Ciampa is facing Lashley for the US Title on RAW on Monday with Miz at his side, who is already laying the seeds for him to turn on him. Slight turn towards face for Ciampa and then Rebel Heart plays, out comes Gargano in his home town to reunite DIY on the main roster. Bonus points if Ciampa then turns on him right back and we get to replay the NXT story on the main roster. Only if they do it after the 'credits', like they did in NXT.
Ludo*1
I've been all over these threads saying nothing will change and Vince will still be all over it. I do still think Vince has a major hand in everything but I'll admit it's clear that Trips is running the show now. And it's not perfect but it's pretty close to must watch TV just now.
djchapsticks
Anyone really surprised that Gunter and Nakamura put on a hard-hitting barnstormer than fans loved and had a clean finish? Some people used to say 'The NXT guys won't get the same level of fan investment as on the main roster in front of bigger crowds' and I didn't really agree. Give the fans something and someone to care about, invest in building guys up and fans will go with them. The IC title will be prestigious again in the eyes of everyone if you make it mean something and booking matches like last night are the only way to do that. A few months back this would have got about 6 minutes, ended in some variety of shenanigans and folk would have forgotten all about it by next week. Whilst the match last night wasn't quite one for the ages, it was very, very good and instantly memorable.
Sherrif John Bunnell
I'm glad to see Hit Row get another shot, but whatever happened to that Isaiah Scott bloke that used to be with them? According to twitter, being 'wasted away' in AEW where he's ummmm, currently a tag team champion. For the record, how quickly would HHH have the AEW tag team champs back on his roster if he could? He'd raid them for Regal, Keith Lee, Swerve, Adam Cole and ReDragon tomorrow if he could.

Sherrif John Bunnell
The Smackdown review podcast I listen to noted that Butch hasn't been seen for a few weeks. Hopefully that means he's coming back as someone nearer the Pete Dune character.

Pete Dunne is a believable cruiserweight who can cause issues with/to the bigger guys (i.e. his Bruiserweight gimmick). 1 hour ago, djchapsticks said: And as if by magic... Gunther looks odd slimmed down, but he's still huge and still an awesome worker. He's great.

cdhafc1874
Someone backstage will be reminding Cole that Mark Henry now works for AEW & therefore not call Corbin using the move as a World's Strongest Slam [emoji23]

Cornette was mentioned by McAfee. There was also a guy wearing a Cornette t-shirt and a sign calling Smackdown an 'outlaw mud show'. Vince would have had that guy escorted out the building.

End of the say, although he's in the corporate world and a much older man now, HHH has always had that in him that he'd rather go with authenticity than polished or gimmicky. Example, I couldn't have imagined anyone else in a position of power showing up at places like ICW when he did. The acceptance that there is a wrestling world out there whilst acknowledging the WWE is and always will be the place to be is the best way to go about this instead of shutting the window and claiming they are the only place and nowhere else exists. I think the days of treating the fans like idiots in that regard are done.

I don't honestly think there's anyone more versatile out there than Sami Zayn. He turns everything he gets into gold. One of the most underrated on the go for so long and it's brilliant to finally see him get the love he deserves.
