Vaughan signed just over a week ago, yet Johnstons been working on the transfer for months

We've been rumoured with him since before Rangers released him. AJ probably let him know we were interested at that point but he opted for Bury. So technically, we have been working on it for months.

By illegally tapping up a player under contract to another club, by the sounds of it ;)

Well you're just plain wrong there.

A team's standing is never fixed. You were the wee team in the twenties when Cowdenbeath were very strong. You were the wee team in the thirties and fifties, when East Fife and Rovers were way above you.  Come the sixties, for the first and only time in your history, you were a decent team but by the seventies you were back to being the wee team again. In the eighties and nineties you were nothing special and then in the noughties you cheated. If you hadn't you wouldn't have been in the top league.

Over the last ten to fifteen years other teams have become bigger than you; and teams like Inverness, Dundee United, Dundee, Hamilton, Partick Thistle, Motherwell, Kilmarnock, St Johnstone, Ross County and St Mirren have had sustained periods in the Premiership - and that makes them bigger than you for the time being whether you like it or not.

As stated above, the only time you haven't been a wee team was in a decade fifty years ago. Welcome to the wee team club. :)

If at some point in the future, people ask the question, "Why are Raith Rovers referred to as the 'wee team'?", this post shall be used as evidence.

Fucking hell, man. Many of the wee team fans take it pretty well, some don't react too well to it, but I never thought I'd see someone so emotionally destroyed by a simple - and, frankly well-known - fact.
