Rob1885
Best player last season. 3rd behind Dow and Nizzy.

Rob1885
Callum Smith signed a 2 year deal with Accies, great move for him.

Very surprising as I don't think he's good enough, but good luck to him and would be glad to be proven wrong.

It's quite a move for someone who has not looked much more than an average league 1 player in the last 18 months or so. Accies are obviously taking a punt on potential more than anything he's actually achieved on the pitch.

Good luck to him, never really worked out for him at EEP. A shame as I thought he could have been a big player for us when he first broke through.
Stellaboz
Offft some move for the lad. One of those moves that takes you a moment to think if you've read that right.
Poet of the Macabre
Hamilton have been playing without fans for decades so could be a real chance for them to become Scotland’s third force.
Nat Weederburn
What would be an acceptable bid for Nisbet in your view?£10 million for Dundee United, £500k-£1 million for anyone else.
DAFC.
I thought Smith looked class start of season 17-18, but it’s obviously not worked out at EEP. I haven’t seen him in League 1, so can’t comment, but Hamilton are obviously taking a punt on his potential.
Rob1885
Imagine not giving him a chance ahead of our free scoring forwards in season 18-19.
DAFC.
In terms of us making signings, I imagine we will take full advantage of the loan market and continue to go down the route of lower league players with potential. The balls rolling behind the scenes in terms of season tickets and income for the season ahead so I imagine it won’t be TOO long before we start assembling. Plus Nisbet is probably going to go for a hefty price which will be good for the coffers. If there is one thing I’ll commend Crawford for is that he has a good eye for talent, so I won’t be too concerned about who we will assemble given the difficulty caused by the current situation.
Stellaboz
Anyone got a wishlist from League One or Two they'd like to see brought in? I seriously hope that Killie look to give us Dom Thomas again on loan but no idea who would be a Nisbet-like signing.

Probably unrealistic but Nathan Austin would be the ideal replacement for Nizzy.

DAFC.
Will Graham from Albion Rovers has good potential, he’s been impressive any times I’ve seen him. Unsure if Kouider-Aissa from Queens Park has accepted terms to stay on, but he is apparently very good. Replacing Nisbet is going to be very difficult. I’d cream my knickers if we got Dom Thomas back. Simply put, he is the best winger we have had since Cardle.

Probably unrealistic but Nathan Austin would be the ideal replacement for Nizzy.Nathan Austin was supposedly joining East Fife before Kelty Hearts came in with a bigger offer. I’d take a punt on him if he’s out of contract.Unrealistic but if Dom Thomas could compliment Ryan Dow on the wings, with Greg Kiltie on loan again playing behind a striker, that’d be absolutely class. I don’t see either of them in Killie’s plans tbh so it might be possible to get both.
HoBNob
Looking at our team I'd be happy with fielding ? Comrie-Murray-Lang-Martin Dow-? -Turner-? ? -? I've not even bothered punting in Nisbet because he'll be away, so Grant's wishlist would be Gk- First choice would be Jamie Mcdonald, was very, very good against us for Alloa and was the best keeper I saw play against us last season, from what I've heard he wants to move back to the east coast so this may be plausible? Gill as backup Defence - I'm actually happy with the four we have, backup wise with the budget being so tight I'm not sure if we'll be able to sign someone just for backup, we have Edwards, Bowman and Fenton as being the likely backup for the fullback positions, are any of them good enough yet for a sustained run in the team if we have injuries? Not sure, reckon we need at least 1 centre back. Midfield - Fucking holes everywhere, we need at least 2 wingers really, with at least 1, maybe two centre mids? I'd expect Paul Allan and Matty Todd to play a bigger part in supporting the squad next year, I've mentioned it before but I've genuinely got high hopes for Todd, think he'll develop into a player. I'd love to see us re sign Dom Thomas, that'd be the best signing we could make IMO, I'm a massive fan. Outwith that I don't really know for wingers? I'd imagine it'll be a loan signing, Motherwell have a few, for an outside shout Calvin Miller? Had big potential a few years back, could maybe want to kick start his career down a league. For centre midfield I'm going to go for Stephen McGinn, he looked good at this level a few years back and there is the worry the legs will be gone and he won't reach his level of performances with Dunfermline, as what he did with St Mirren but an experienced player to talk Turner through the game would be good, also seems like a leader. Striker Ideally I'd love at least three, but with budgets etc I reckon McCann and McGill will get plenty game time, we're apparently interested in Anton Dowds from East Fife, I know absolutely nothing about him other than East Fife fans do seem to like him, for the other spot I'd like Declan McManus, I doubt he'll get a premiership gig, he was well liked by the fans here, coming off a good season in league 1, coming in as the main striker would be appealing for him hopefully. Which would leave us with McDonald Comrie-Lang-Murray-Martin Dow-McGinn-Turner-Thomas Dowds-McManus Squad Players - Gill, Bowman, Edwards, Miller, Todd, Allan, McGill, McCann. Will the team look anything like that? Most likely not.
