Managers' injury update.....maybe light at the end of the tunnel.

"For as bad as it is injuries wise, today was a good training session. Breeny trained well, Paul Allan trained brilliant after being out with bone bruising in his knee. Andrew Tod won’t be available, he is seeing a specialist. Deniz obviously was on the bench last week.

“Bene won’t make this weekend but come the Ayr United game it will be seven weeks. He was told that he would be back in six weeks but Bene wanted to make that four. He is one that you have to take extra special care with because he will tell you that he is right when he is not.”

Also, Summers "touch and go" for Saturday but will be fine for the Ayr game in 2 weeks

Not counting chickens etc.  I’ll only feel more comfortable once we start seeing these guys on the pitch

Just quoting what he said. If he's sounding more upbeat then that's a good thing no?

I’m not saying anything against your post directly but I am completely indifferent to how the manager sounds in interview, especially when we know he couldn’t give 2 fucks about them. Too much has happened with injuries to not wait and see they are properly sorted

I think McPakes demeanour depends on how the interviewer asks questions.
I know that Jorden is a volunteer, but he both asks and almost completely answers the questions posed. Sometimes his questions are way longer than the answers.
The manager is used to being asked questions on camera, but you can see some of the players eyes glassing over.
Good on the lad for stepping up and doing his best, but, IMO, he needs to learn to stop half answering questions when asking them.

Its quite a tough gig but you'd hope the years of doing it would mean improvements in those regards. I had to do interviews after a game for Pars TV once back in the day but luckily they (Jim McIntyre and Graham Bayne) were very good with me, despite the manager getting a little angry when I almost half hinted that the workrate had been better than in some previous games...

I don't get why the club haven't got them media training.

I don’t think it’s a player issue, I think it’s a Jorden issue

I meant media training for the folk doing the interviews.

Ah! That would be handy, but I think the club are happy to allow the volunteers to run with this right now. I think it’ll change in a couple of seasons if/when we hit the top flight. I think the club will take more control of the media outlet at that point.
