Walking Down The Halbeath Road

AJ talked about pace and power so expect some wingers to be signed. I think we will see much more happening whenever AJ is back from holiday.

It would be good to have the majority of our first team training together as soon as possible.

Fucking hell. This is like trying to do your shopping at Waitrose when you're on the dole.

If anyone likes dried mango then the organic dried mango from Waitrose is divine.

The two Livi boys look more like the players we come up against every week. Our boys seem to get trained until they're whippet thin. Quality rather than quantity is probably apt for training, as well as signings - just have to have faith that AJ can improve what we've got. It's not so long ago that Geggan and Falky were at the heart of the team that had us the top of the First/Championship.

Johnston will be after a new striker going by what he said after he joined,

"Looking back through the DVDs I think that we maybe never had the right quality last year. I don't think we had enough pace and we need a natural goalscorer. If you watch a few of the games, we maybe got bullied a wee bit as well. I think there is a lot to be addressed there."

"At Queen of the South we had Nicky Clark score 40 goals, at Kilmarnock I had Kris Boyd score 25 goals so that is the type of players that I want to bring to the club."

Preseason starts today and it's Baltic. No danger of a repeat of the the near-pornographic photoshoots from last preseason with old JJ leering on as the sweaty young men with big shiny teeth and six packs ran up and down the sand dunes.

Both players I was hoping we'd sign. That's the benefit of Rangers not getting promoted I suppose.

Or the benefit of being part-time. Work outside of football combined with a part-time contract seems to be higher than what a lot of full-time teams can offer.

Kevin Cawley turned down Queens to sign with us and they really do see the benefit of Rangers and Hibs being in the league. Our 2k seater stadium means we see little benefit.
