Adam
I tried Lomond Gold last night after not having it for a while. What a beer it is, probably my favourite golden ale. Absolutely beautiful.
punk_dfc
Discovered Thistle News in Aberdeen which is a newsagent that has a good beer selection. Enjoyed the following last night Very nice beer. Unusual taste Strong at 12%, Barley Wine. Not to my taste Very nice beer
philpy
This is very nice, although at 8.5% it's not really a session ale.
Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Any ex-pats got any good sites for ordering ales? You just don't get them here in Austria, the lagers and wheat beers are tremendous but I do miss a good ale now and then.
lau03143
Having an Ardnave Ale by Islay Ales. Quite a nice dry tasting bitter golden ale.
lau03143
A few American IPA and Pale Ales I've had recently. I preferred the All Day IPA to the Stone IPA. invergowrie arab
Stone double ipa now available in Dundee. It's a lovely pint but at 8.9% ones enough
lau03143
Stone double ipa now available in Dundee. It's a lovely pint but at 8.9% ones enough I definitely prefer a "traditional" IPA to American IPA's. The Stone IPA tasted like a bouquet of flowers.... But bit in a nice way. centralTon
Just had a couple of these in the guildford arms. Its like drinking a bar of dairy milk. 1391959763874.jpg Just home from Edinburgh and unfortunately The Guilford didn't have this on draught. I had a pint of Stewarts Imperial IPA and a bottle of La Chouffe, Mrs. cT had a pint of Dark Island and a bottle of Imperial Russian Stout (10%), she's hardcore. Went next door to Café Royale and both had a pint of Dark Ness, very nice. To be honest, the other bars we went to were average at best and overpriced. Enjoyed our day out, but won't rush back. Sorry Edinburgians.
Hedgecutter
I had a Six degrees North (Stonehaven microbrewery) wheat beer this afternoon called 'Wonderlust' which had an orange taste added through it. Bloody marvellous so it was. Shall be frequenting the dedicated 6oN bar in Aberdeen much more now.

centralTon
Decided not to go to Dundee yesterday to watch Morton get humped...again. Worked until 2pm then went to Bridge of Allan with Mrs. cT. Went to the Tinpot Brewery who only sell their own beers on draught, and decided to have a few half pints, so had... Nut Brown Ale - Lovely dark ale with a hazelnut aftertaste. Fairtrade Banana Ale - self explanatory. Marmalade Pot - see above. Treacle Ale - tasted like a Czech dark lager. Then went to an upmarket offy (can't remember the name) and bought Odells (American Brewery) 5 Barrel Pale Ale, 90 Shilling & IPA (all in my 1001 Beers to try before you die book ) ...all really good especially the IPA. Lindemans Cassis Ale - blackcurrant flavour, but really tart and only 3.5% - wouldn't buy again. Brooklyn Brown Ale - excellent brown ale - would definitely buy again. All in all a good day out.
