theoriginalhedge
That makes no sense, you are interested in a league with one team miles ahead of everyone else but if another team joins the title race you won't be as interested. But it's not just about that though is it ? You have made the very same mistake as the article writer. You look at the premier league and see only Celtic. The rest of us have seen Ross County thrive, Cally Thistle thrive, Hearts building a team of youngsters after getting into financial difficulty .... and thriving, Aberdeen enjoying a fairly successful season with crowds well up on previous years ........etc Celtic are the only ones in a worse position because they haven't got the motivation of at least 2 guaranteed full houses per season and all the spin offs related as TV companies fall over themselves to screen the games in the hope of some hate related controversy. Sadly we are to return to those sad backward days again next season when the "big" 2 flex their muscles and demand their "rightful " share of the generated income at the expense of everyone else, with Cockwomble, Regan (and sadly even our chairman) eagerly giving in to their demands and telling the rest of Scottish football it is for the best. That is why the interest will decline from the genuine football supporter. Edited April 3, 2016 by theoriginalhedge

bennett
And Rangers joining the mix with hearts, the sheep and them could make it an interesting league, there will be no flexing of muscles, Rangers are financially hamstrung and Celtic have been down sizing for years. Think positive like us bears for a change.

forever_blue
Eh? Do you not see the duopoly, whereby both are well clear of the third place team as happening then? I do - perhaps not immediately, but very soon. The point re Cups is that if Rangers are strong and at the top end of the top flight, then it's very much harder for a non-OF side to win one than it's recently been. Gough might not have mentioned Cups, but I am and what's happened in them in recent seasons has been great and has been a huge part of why what we've had has been about as far from Armageddon as can be imagined. Regarding cups Dundee utd , hearts , Kilmarnock all won silverware along with your team , hibs , Falkirk , ross county all making finals in the years before 2012

Monkey Tennis
Regarding cups Dundee utd , hearts , Kilmarnock all won silverware along with your team , hibs , Falkirk , ross county all making finals in the years before 2012 Kilmarnock last won something fifteen years before 2012 - their subsequent league cup was not before that date. Of course other teams made finals before Rangers' demise - we didn't get two OF finals each season, did we? If you think however that there's been no recent increase in diddy success in cups, or that it's not connected to part of the OF being out of the picture, then we've little to discuss, because you're effectively arguing that black is white.

Dons_1988
That makes no sense, you are interested in a league with one team miles ahead of everyone else but if another team joins the title race you won't be as interested. When your old incarnation were in the league I literally did not care one bit about your "title race" and who was successful. If it was to return to the old way then I will return to not giving a shit over the outcome.
dave.j
He never suggested that. Is the WiFi down in the B&B? Did he ask you to reply?
forever_blue
Aye...four teams need to make the semis...simple. With the team you used to support deed, more teams are getting into the later stages. I never mentioned the semis I mentioned winners and finalists pre dating summer 2012

The media manufacture it as mattering. It's of no interest though, because whichever side misses out will be right in the hunt next time. It's not real competition. It can only have appeal for the emotionally immature.
dave.j
Did you PM him or post in an open forum? Ah right, you're not relaying a message. That's all you had to say! Why so touchy? Are you missing big Craig's guidance?

I don't think that'll happen Dolly but if you're not in the race then I can see how some folk wouldn't really care. The SPL/premiership title race hasn't really bothered me that much for the last 4 years or so,next year that may change. Sheep improving, arts improving, them slipping, the Gers hopefully improving. Could be exciting, could be shite.

Rangers are financially hamstrung but will still somehow find the money ( another share issue perhaps ? ) to get some big name signings to try and compete at the top end of the league ......at the expense of some of the younger , eager guys Warburton has brought in. And so history starts to repeat itself because that is the Rangers way. Success at any cost. Bargain signings with the hint of some talent and probably try to sell then on to bridge the financial gsp. Really what is it with folk on here....
