thehoss
My prediction is that we will never see Tebow in the NFL again He's rank as a NFL QB. Even when they spoke about utilising him in another role it wouldn't have made a difference.
thehoss
Lovie smith to become the new bucs coach. Apparently chose that over Detroit lions.
Paul Marnie
Lovie smith to become the new bucs coach. Apparently chose that over Detroit lions. Interesting choice, thought he would've jumped at the chance to coach one of the Bears divisional rivals.
Cowshed Chris
I see the Eagles have been made a 2.5 point favourite over the Saints for Saturday. Slightly surprised by this even though I do have a feeling that the Birds can pull off a win and continue their unexpected impressive season. Will be interesting to see how Foles copes under the pressure as he's been almost flawless since he got the job.
Fife Saint
Files has been incredible, especially when you consider the state he was in during his second game. He looked fucking hopeless but has come back really strong. It will be interesting now the pressure is about to jack up.
Raidernation
Bears news, hot from live press conference Jennings and Slawson sign 4 year deals Cutler signs 7 (yes seven) year deal!!!!! Edit: corrected to 4 year deals for Jennings and Slawson Edited January 2, 2014 by Raidernation
GingerSaint
But but but McCown is way better than Cutler!!! In all seriousness, 7 years is ridiculous unless its the only way they could get him cheaper. Matt Slauson is very solid.

Raidernation
Rumours are that it's going to be around $16M per year
strichener
Haven't seen the details of guarantees etc. but I would say that this deal suggests that the Bears are destined for mediocrity or possibly have the highest paid backup in the NFL. Jay Cutler is NOT a franchise quarterback. Edited January 2, 2014 by strichener
lichtie23
126 million for 7 years Averages 18 million a year
GingerSaint
Unlikely that he'll actually be there for 7 years and I'd imagine the deal will be very cut friendly in 2-3 years time.

strichener
54 million guaranteed Have you missed a decimal out somewhere? So they have basically guaranteed the equivalent of 3 years money. What were they thinking???
GingerSaint
54 million guaranteed I'd like to see the salary cap numbers but sounds like a good deal for the Bears.

Apparently more than 17 mil a year deal that Stafford got. I'd rather have Aaron Rodgers 5 yr 110 million than 7 years of jay cutler on 17mil!

I'll need to double check but I don't think they did.
