fifer67
Happy enough with that has lots of experience and will have a lot of contacts in the game. He was only cutting his teeth in management 10 years ago when he managed East Fife. This will probably be his biggest footballing challenge ever putting confidence into the players and turning around this sorry mess we find ourselves in. One things for sure he couldn’t have got the job at a better time as things are at an all time low after the last two games. Let’s see if he can put a ruthless streak in these players instead of Mr nice guy.

Will take a small miracle to stay up this season. Good luck to him anyway. He's certainly got his work cut out over the 6 months. Sore one for you lot. Last season he had a decent squad and budget with the Pars and they lurched into the playoffs before being dispatched by ourselves. He also oversaw the 5-1 defeat to us at Stark's where we ran riot. By all accounts he's an absolutely lovely human being, but you'd best be preparing for league 2.

Too much damage has already been done sadly.
Mon_The_Fife
Decent enough appointment, and will certainly return to the club with far more experience as a coach and manager. We desperately needed some freshness in the dugout so hopefully we see a little bit of a reaction from the players. Would be interesting to see who else applied since the board were happy to appoint Crawford before speaking to other coaches.

By all accounts he's an absolutely lovely human being, but you'd best be preparing for league 2. Crawford oversaw some impressive runs as Pars manager, we’d quite often go 6-7 games unbeaten/without conceding, but we equally had spells where we couldn’t score to save ourselves and would easily lose 3-4 in a row. He also pumped your lot 4-1. He clearly has an eye for a decent player and coached them well. He just struggled to get the best out of them sometimes and it often seemed like a plan b wasn’t there. Our squad under Crawford never seemed to lack in attitude or commitment, and the players always looked willing to play and win for him.Good luck to him at East Fife, getting out of the mess you’re in would be an excellent achievement and I’d be absolutely delighted to see him do well.

I remember during his brief spell in charge with us, we were always in games and we seemed to have a never give up attitude that is very much lacking at the moment. So, even if we have a bit of a change in attitude that will certainly improve things straight away.
tazz1903
I'm sure Stevie will save us from relegation, that would be enough at this time .

Well that doesn't make sense, unless the quality of applications were awful. Have to say not really enthused by this appointment- but we need to get behind the manager . Hope he has some sort of budget for January.

Californian Fifer
Wonder who he will choose to be his assistant? Wonder if Frail is going to stick around
Cardle is Magic
Think someone mentioned that Crawford won and lost the same amount of games as Pars manager and that sums up his reign for me; just plodding along. He was never going to take us to the top flight but doubt he’d have ever bombed as badly as Grant. Hopefully he’s learned a lot from his spell at EEP and I would say the pressure is off a little with most folk expecting EF to drop into League 2.
Chubbychops
Very cautious manager. He could never find that balance between being secure at the back and posing a threat in attack. I thought we were boring under his tenure. He did well in the transfer market for us though. Good eye for a player.

Stevo Fife
"On the departure of Darren Young last week, Stevie agreed to take the first team squad until a new manager was appointed and did so for Saturday's Scottish Cup tie at Banks o' Dee." That went well!

fifer67
On the point of assistant manager we could really be doing with someone who knows the defensive side of the game inside out. Once Crawford looks at videos of the goals we have been losing he’ll find it hard to believe how poor we are defensively. If he can rectify that then we’ll have half a chance.
