The East Fife Thread

Recommended Posts

From the Official Site;

The club are delighted to announce that, in addition to previously announced signing Ryan Goodfellow (goalkeeper) from Dunfermline Athletic, a further three players have now joined East Fife.

They are Graeme MacGregor, a right-back who was recently with East Stirlingshire; right-midfielder Kyle Wilkie, who spent the latter part of last season at Berwick Rangers; and left-midfielder Pat Slattery, who played for Queen’s Park last season on loan from Queen of the South.

Graeme MacGregor is a former Scotland under-19 internationalist who started his Senior career with Bolton Wanderers before moving on to Hamilton Academical and St. Mirren.

Kyle Wilkie is another player who has seen service with Hamilton Academical, and has also been on the books of Stockport County, Greenock Morton and Livingston.

After having been on Gretna’s books as a youngster, Pat Slattery signed for Queen of the South at the age of sixteen. He was on the ‘Doonhamers’ books for six years and, as previously stated, was farmed out to Queen’s Park last season.

Squad shaping up half decent now I think Gary has learned from last years mistakes with poor signings like Cook and mcaleer who never justified their wage. With a smaller budget he has to be certain the guys he signs can do a job. Signed so far are Goalkeeper Ryan Goodfellow, Defenders Stevie Campbell, johnathon Page, Gary Naysmith, Graeme Mcregor. Midfield Alan Walker, Ross Brown, Pat Slattery, Kyle Wilkie, Fraser Mullen. Strikers kevin Smith, Nathan Austin, and John Mcshane. That gives us 13 so far need cover in central defence and full backs I am sure we will see a few players coming in on loan.

2 walker's? I guess you meant brown and mullen in starting 11. Few signings needed but hopefully get trialists a run out and win a deal in the friendly ahead. Good to see page against his former side this time the boy been a rock, Campbell will be like a new signing once his injury is sorted-cleared. 1st game back looking forward 2 months of boring summer.

haha

Every season his name gets mentioned as a possible East Fife signing and every season he stays with Berwick and finishes below East Fife in the leagues.

He's clearly not ready for the step up. Better we shuffle dross like Paul Willis down the way.
