RedRob72
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-44816025 Apparently that sort of carry on is allright as long as it's "recreational rioting" according to Sinn Fein, but not allright when it moves beyond that.Wish they’d ALL pack it in JG, there’s still plenty of room for manoeuvre and balance. No one I know back over the water, wants to return to what you’ve had in recent generations in Northern Ireland.
Jacksgranda
Ach well, in 20 years time the "sinister elements" behind the current riots will be well respected politicians who will have taken their seats in a partionist assembly, and be condemning the sinister elements behind the riots, and so on ad nauseam

Jacksgranda
Stormont won't come back until Sinn Fein pull their horns in, and at the moment they're too busy chasing their dream of being in government down south. When that all ends in tears they'll maybe reconsider getting the Executive up and running again.

Detection, conviction & incarceration to follow hopefully.

Suspect the whole Brexit saga also has to run its course and a soft border has to be the outcome before Stormont gets going again. The usual carefully selected flashpoints like the Ardoyne shops not being used by SF to engineer mayhem on and after the 12th this year suggests that's their ultimate end game. Roast beef & mustard sandwiches, sausage rolls, scotch eggs and a huge flask of tea. Smashing! No chance of you staying there permanently?

Ardoyne has been quiet this last couple of years as a local accommodation has been reached i.e. republican violence has paid off. Job done, Sinn Fein are away stirring sh+1t elsewhere.
