Celtic fans would go to England believing that the English will love them for their 18th century Irishness.

Rangers fans would go to England believing that the English will love them for their 18th century Britishness

Please like us England....Please like us England...Please like us England. ! " That other mob are bigoted scum ! "

Meanwhile Rangers and Celtic visiting away games wondering why they are being laughed at for simply being Scottish.

English casuals in Glasgow every week for a square go at the big bad Jocks of Celtic and Rangers.

Meanwhile .... We are British ... We are Irish. And we hate that mob !

Ignorance is bliss.

Both cheeks had better hope for a NO vote, or coming from an independent state Scottish clubs would not even have their present spurious argument to be accepted into the English pyramid.

The problem is you can only get so many fans in a ground. Our ground is bigger than Ibrox and about the same size as Celtic Park, but we haven't finished in the top 2 since 2005.

If it were all down to stadium size then Chelsea would finish around mid table.

I know. There's the problem right there.

With the financial fair play rules in motion, Chelsea might have to upgrade the stadium to accommodate more fans to keep the cash flowing or they might get sucked into the vacuum of decline should they fail to win titles or high enough in the league, cups finals and even the holy grail of cash that is the Champions League. A large support might become more relevant than the current situation where crowds don't matter we get enough money from the league to sustain us.

Could be argued that's exactly the blueprint followed by your middle order EPL mobs of today....Swansea, WBA, Stoke etc. One bad season though....look at the fire sale at Fulham, the original 'foreign investor' which was conveniently ignored as going from the auld Third Division to Premier with Kevin the Perm was a lovely little story. Judging by who they have got left over they won't be bothering anyone for a while, and could possibly gravitate back to (imo) their natural position at the top end of League One. I don't see what the fallout from big bad Sky 'fucking football' comes from, no one was complaining when it was helping to fund the SPL spunkathon. Internationals from all.over the planet not just playing for The Two Cheeks but Killie Motherwell St.Johnstone etc. Even the auld first division had half the Canadian team playing for ICT, half the Trinidad side at the Wc2006 had played for Falkirk, Livvy and Dundee in it..... Proof if ever there was any needed that the game's as fair or unfair as its ever been.
