  1. An East Kilbride primary school has had to scrap its closing Christmas show montage, which was apparently due to be a medley involving none other than 'Rock'n'Roll Christmas by one Gary Glitter. Scenes.
  2. He was the same with the Green and Gold minters, who insisted the club was failing post-Glazier, despite three CL finals in four years and three-in-a-row titles. Which is entirely circumstantial, yet unheard of prior to that. Where United broke the records set by Blackburn and Aston Villa in the 90s, they have since 2005 operated at a transfer fee level in excess of Bayern and arguably Barca. Hardly the actions of a BoD intent in.stripping the assets......yet ironically since SAF chucked it, there's been little or no murmur of discontent at anyone bar the manager. Again, at least the FCU guys had the balls to draw that line and, given that only a handful of clubs could do it, make a decent job of it.
  3. I remember Siw Aweks making his comments on the formation of FCUM, and at the time i considered them borne out of a genuine fear that the discerning supporter may disappear in droves if it developed at a more substantial rate. Fair play to those who made the leap, took advantage of the numbers willing to back their vision and not spend fortunes sucking the Sky knob. Of all the fans' protests over the years, be it prices, kick off times or whatever, continuing to turn up and pay their money when they're told to, really defeated the purpose.....FCUM, whether or not people like it, put in.the groundwork that frankly all the greeters and moaners at every other club never would. Good luck to them i say.
  4. Unless they've changed the format, there have never been nominees for this. National team managers and captains vote on their 1-2-3, which generally serves as still.ending up with one of two these days. Easy to see why Dalglish came second, given his world conquering exploits with dem wacky scousers shaping many manager's opinions. Voters were also restricted to one compatriot. McAllister didn't play at Hampden after facing Australia in March 1996.....three full years before his retirement.
  5. What insight. Sky ought to punt Henry and Neville and get one of you lot in the door. 58 pages of beige.
  6. The term 'people's club' is an absolute misnomer. Everton and until recently City claimed to be the 'true' representation of their cities, based entirely on the fact that their immediate doorstep rivals boasted worldwide fan clubs. What rubs a great number of good people the wrong way, every single time they open their insufferable traps, is the myths and grief-addicted delusions they impose on the planet. Other than that, they're sound as f**k.
  7. They trot it out constantly!! Brenton is particularly fond of selling the club line to the usual third-rate statobots his computer tells him to sign every window. In any case, didn't Celtic do the same with the old flats behind the Parkhead Cross end when building Phase Two of The Bunnet's New Paradise??
  8. Why?? Who wants to move anyone?? Thats even more random than Doh a Deer. Which in fairness has a smattering of meaning in its origins. The support has been shite since the regimenting of the supporters' groups, giving job titles and a c**t of a complex about 'how to support a team' to complete gimps who'd run around the bases at Euros or WCs handing flyers for shity events. Subsequently, any sort of originality or natural evolution of songs or nature of support is about as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit. Group i went with from around 89/90 until 2008/9 consisted of up to two dozen very different but very opinionated supporters, from many walks of life....including middle class 'toffs', including one who hires young guys from Blackhill and Ruchazie as apprentices in his multinational electronics firm. What a tit, eh. He led the parade through Birmingham against the Swiss loudly and as hairy-ersed as you like, yet agrees wholeheartedly with you that the crowd is shite now.
  9. Back on it after a bit of cold-turkey, and i miss the fear and loathing already. Always played with handballs on offline, and in a tourney last week, witnessed Iniesta punching the fucker into the net after a miscued header, been robbed of a pen despite Casillas hauling down Sneider inside the six-yard box, and countless fucking interventions with GLT. Pish
  10. Been there, done that. The cuddly-toy supporters ain't interested. If Emerson, Husband or Coyle want it, you are getting it. All we we we.
  11. Where or rather who are the most remote club under the Sfa / Sjfa / Safa umbrella?? I'd guess Stranraer or Berwick in the SPFL, but beyond that....
  12. Hp is having a disaster here. Not his first either. Two eejits boxing in a boozer represents nothing. Now.....outsude the Montford after i think the Czech 2-2 game, a guy noticably on his own not bothering a soul, was set upon by three or four wee fannies (theres usually a few Toryglen bawsacks hanging around looking for it, as were these re comments and shouts at everyone present) who he certainly wasnt just standing there taking shit from. But he wasn't winning either, until the crowd split them up. One of them landed a cracking last blow, to which said guy retaliated brilliantly and tripped him to the floor, and laid a good couple on the dickhead. They couldn't pull the imo innocent party off this wee cock any quicker if they tried, but thats only the beginning. Having a scran in the Kings Lodge later, the senior do gooder among them trails in, pished as a newt, with a few typically wanky hooray henrys namedropping airports and hotels etc, and proceeds to throw the biggest strop in the world that on a Saturday night, a Chinese restaurant was full. My old man's mate bites, grills him on his conduct after his earlier altruistic display, to which HIS friend pipes up that 'not being able to eat in Glasgow is a disgrace, its never a problem everywhere else we go....' and that 'among savages you sometimes need to slum it'. Basically, that particular faction appeared to be well known (a good couple of dozen knew the 'hero' by name and were quick to congratulate him), but were nothing short of self serving c***s only interested in looking just the best. Only one faction, mind.
  13. I'll ask you again. What comments went through your totey wee brain while you suffered this trauma??? You tell everyone on here youre from Glasgow. You have a pop at everyone not from Glasgow. Including Ayrshireites, despite being allegedly an Ayr fan. You now equate walking as being for the poor.....and what would supporting a team or not have to do with saying anything in any given situation??? You're a complete arse.
  14. What comments from i, gobblechops??? Please don't think of that in public again. You completely stupid fucking bampot. The stupid is further exemplified by the fact it would have taken you less than an hour to walk to where you were going. Again, being from Glasgow....if what you allege is so serious and you did nothing, its entirely your fault. Now away and bile yer heed.
  15. Including you then??? Its went from 'them' to 'him' in six words. Beats me why you'd HAVE to get the same train back....living in Glasgow after all.....plenty of transport options along the PRW....plenty of boozers to drop into if a walk took the fancy......i thought you of all people would know that!!!
  16. You've just been searching for a tube-related story since you made a word salad out of a guy talking about tubes. Amazingly, within days of seeing no trouble 'itsept English toffs being sick on stag do's' the fine people of our capital get it in the neck. King for a Day i say.
  17. You've been chokin for a stalker since you grew funny hairs. 'Period sex is awful, dudes'. You sound like the auld neighbour of my maws who attempted suicide when his burd fund out he'd been lying to her about having a killer disease. He gave us te speil on doing the vampire anaw, only to be discovered to have recieved not so much as a two hair touch.
  18. Isn't that becoming 'the same old pap' itself?? Your club aside, i wouldn't say there's any great swathe of youngsters taking the game by storm at all. And no disrespect intended, taking a 6-1 fisting from the same Celtic team which capitulated against Legia (on the pitch!!) does not act as a great selling point for anyone. Clubs being forced to throw teenagers into a 40 game season doesn't make them any better, if they aren't ready. Fair enough if there isn't the cash available to sign a team full of experienced established players, but selling it as some sort of golden age is just pissing on people's legs and telling them its raining. We've got youth development totally arse over tit in this country, even more than we ever had in 'the bad old days' before we made such a big deal of it by championing the likes of Feruz and dare i say Gauld too. What we call 'quality' or 'cultured' players are ten 'a penny throughout the rest of Europe, and the ones who make it everywhere else possess far stronger personal characteristics and attributes away from the training field.
  19. This. I enjoyed watching Vogts' teams, pumpings and one cap.wonders and all, than i ever did Levein or Burley. Mentioned earlier on was the pretty solid core of 8-9 quality players he mostly relied on, i'd say getting a playoff was a success in that period of rebuilding....almost every other middle-order nation have had stinkers comparible to some of ours when in the same position. What wasn't apparent to me at the time, but something ive often thought since, was the possibility of Vogts being undermined from within, and small wonder with shite like what was coming out of Burns'gub by the looks of it.
  20. Working class??? Scousers??? Come on to f**k, you've had one too many. Apparently the Steaua flag only came about as 'Reds' were pissed off at the 'Blues' turning their cuddly-love in derby into a slanging match involving words like 'merderers' and such like. Typical classless vermin, arguably worse than the biggest if bigots you'll find up here by virtue of their inflated social conscience. The Waiters Union of Bulgaria im sure would agree.
  21. If one thing has been proved, its that we are clearly walking around with our head up our own arse if we believe him and others like him give as much as a solitary shit about the country which handed them a life. I have no doubts whatsoever that if Bayern wanted him, he'd be hooring himself for the German team in no time at all. In football, every b*****d these days is a salesman. When clubs are charging 50 quid a ticket, and selling all the tickets, then they are obviously good at it. Throwing money at dicks like Feruz and even Januzaj is a small.price to pay to convince the public to part with not only their cash but also the right to exect a degree of decency from those unheralded superstars we should be grateful to share oxygen with. Overhyping and pressurising a boy from the age of 14 has reaped its reward here, so for my money whatever happens the last ones with a leg to stand on are those so fickle they'll take anyone from anywhere and at any cost.
  22. I'm delighted to have been proved correct that this would happen, yet the deluded little footsoldiers wouldn't hear a word against him. Terrific news.
  23. Yip i remember the pitch being an odd lookin fucker, miles from the stands behind each goal in the mid to late 90s i think. I thought they had just done a Barcelona and lowered the pitch to increase the capacity and bring everything closer, but on closer inspection it looks like a total refurb. Was Molineux lined up as possible host for Englands World Cup bid??? Would make sense deciding to just carry on with the work if it started with that in mind, but if not im puzzled as to why they are bothering...
  24. I stand (!) corrected. I honestly was merely going by telly highlights, as i'd never noticed anything being done behind the goal other than no roof due to the top teir being added. Oops.
  25. They havent pulled any stand down at Molineux.....they are merely adding additional teirs.
