Didn't West ham get a cracking deal to play there?

They had to pay £15m of a £250m redevelopment and £2m per year for 99 years. Local Council has to pay for: Stewards, Goals, footballs, electricity and conversion of stadium from athletics/rugby/cricket to football.

A total ponzi scheme. It's effectively State Aid to one of the richest football clubs in the world.

Plus they will get a share of the naming rights, I think its the first 4 million a year to the council then 50% of the rest split between London and West Ham so if its an 8 million a year deal West Ham will play at the stadium for FREE.

Surely they aren't legit seats?

The first one up the back will be a wind up the second as RM says is an obstructed area down by the Anfield Road end that will be there until it is hopefully renovated too.

Do you know what the future plans are for redevelopment? Will this stand be it for the time being or are they looking to move on to the next phase in the very near future?

There's not been too much said about it but although the Main Stand is open there is still a bit of work to be done and I would imagine the owners will want to see it full across a season or two before fully committing to the next stage.

Chat from Liverpool fans I'm seeing is that development of the Anfield Road end to bring capacity to 60,000 will be happening soon.

That would be phase 2 bringing it to around 58500. No confirmation of timescales but expect it to happen in the next few years.

Are there any houses to be bought at knockdown prices to complete this phase?
Or have Liverpool already purchased them.

They're probably waiting for them to be devalued further. The homeowners might still be able to get some equity out of it. Give it time.
