Looks like a problem with your video card drivers.

Have you tried updating them ?

Do you have any yellow question marks in device manager ?

I've done a bit of reading - seems this is a very common problem.

First things to try;

Download the latest and greatest drivers fot your video card;

The video card itself will be listed in the device manager. Visit the website of the manufacturer and download the latest drivers for your card. This will usually be a self installing .exe file.

Try downloading the latest and greatest version of Direct-X from the Microsoft website;

Clicky

If you still have no joy then post back - I have ways of gaining remote control of your computer and having a look for myself :D

Just mind and get rid of any web history or incriminating photos first :lol::lol::lol:;)

My Card is listed as an "Intel® Extreme Graphics Controller" , when I search Google for Drivers I only see Intel Drivers listed as numbers , I'm not to good with this sort of thing can anyone point me in the direction of a suitable Driver ?

Is that not an integrated graphics card i.e . one built onto the motherboard? If not then I think it is a very old card from several years back. How old is the machine?

I think your right.

And I doubt very much if it supports 3Dfx :(

Just how carefully did you check the minimum specs before you bought the game :P

driver clicky

Thats where I always start when Im looking for drivers ;) You can use my username and pw if you like - PM me for them

My PC is a 2yo Dell package ,

I've never had bother playing games in the past (including a few EA Games of which MOHAA is one !)

Everything else is running sweet !

Looks like you need to find out which chip you have. Check out Intels page clicky. You should then be able to get drivers from there too, once you know what youve got ;)

Hopefully, that will be your problem.

It looks like the newer chips will play the latest games ok .. lets hope youve got that one :P

  • 2 weeks later...

I am suprised you say that you have never had problems running games as I thought that was an integrated graphics card and they are usual guff for games.

I don't play many games - maybe I've just been lucky !

this particular game is running fine :)

I think thats primarily what they are intended for. Basic spreadsheet, word stuff and surfing the net and some gaming but nothing extreme. Put it this way you won't get Doom 3 working on it - nor on my one either! :lol::(
