Heart of Midlothian 2014-

Anyway...

...wonder if this Nigerian dude will put name to contract in the next day or two?

Things are shaping up nicely. Just hope it's not the shape of a pear.

Scenes galore if we net a player who played in the World Cup knockout stage only a year ago.

They're working on two more for definite. Interestingly, Oshaniwa played at centre-back in all four of Nigeria's World Cup games, but played at left-back for his club. That would give us cover in two positions.

What's the thinking behind this then? Scoop him for a small fee, develop for a year, hope he's had a stormer then sell on for a large profit to a high end championship club? Edited by James Keatings

That's the thinking behind all Hearts signings now.

The championship is a decent standard. (The English one obviously)

What about all the youth players that Hearts were gonna sell for millions, how's that working out?

I'd imagine so. I'll still be surprised if we get him but there certainly seems to be substance to it.

Amusingly, his side actually got relegated from the Israeli Premier League last season after finishing mid-table the two seasons previous. Still, Celtic, Hull and Sheffield Wednesday have all shown an interest in him over the past six months so he'd certainly fit the bill for us if we managed to pull it off.

Indeed, we've already had one player (Juanma) choose Hearts over an English Championship side (Bristol City) this summer. emot-smug.gif

Is there? Genuine question.
