Heart of Midlothian 2014-

Hmm? Won Hearts's man of the match on his debut in tonights win against Ross County.

At center half.

Most United fans will tell you Souttar is never a defender.

They're wrong. No doubt the kid will make lots of mistakes over the next couple of years, but he has just turned 19 and hasn't actually played centre back for quite a while now.

If Hearts stick by him, he has every chance of turning into a very very good centre back.

Neilson was saying an interview the other day that we definitely see him as a centre half and that he definitely has the ability but needs to tighten up on a few of the basics that seem to have been neglected. Our conditioning coach has a good record of bulking up our players as well, so this coupled with it being a fresh start for the laddie has me quite excited by Souttar. Not getting carried away as he still seems quite raw, but there's definitely a player in there.

Coincidence or what bad run of results for the jambos since Reilly has been dropped to the bench??

With you on this one mate. Not sure what Gavin has done wrong to not see a second of action since the 2-2 draw with Hibs.

Team has a better shape with him in it.
