RandomGuy.
Stolen from an idea further down the rudder, but slightly adapted. Who do you think will be your teams surprise star this season? Every team usually have one who pops up and turns into a key player despite being quite unexpected. Andrew Robertson is the epitome of this. To an extent Stevie May was ours last season, before the season he was back up to MacLean and there were still some reservations about how he'd get on in the Premiership. He became a key player after a few games and is now utterly vital to us. This season it looks like it'll be Scott Brown. Paddy Cregg was released so Brown could move up, and he's stepped into the first team with complete ease. It looks likely he'll be first choice for the start of the league season aswell. Tidy midfielder who isn't afraid to get stuck in. If you can't think of a "surprise" star, then you're welcome to just say who you think will be your star even if they are well known throughout the league

captainkev
Aidan Connolly and Blair Spittal have looked very promising in pre-season so far and if I had to put money on somebody to be a surprise star for us next year then it'd be one of those two. Waffelz
BRIAN GRAHAM. lol, jk. Darren Petrie will, if given game time - which he should - be brilliant for us. I'll say Callum Morris though, since we signed him from the lower leagues.
Saints Bevy Squad
Jason Naismith. The guy can score, defend and put in a decent cross. Expect him to be one of our better players this season.

I'll say Callum Morris though, since we signed him from the lower leagues. I was going to suggest Graham too and I wasn't completely joking either. Petrie has been billed as having the same amount of potential as Gauld and Souttar so it could be a very big year for him.
Slacker
It depends if he stops shooting from 40 yards every time he can, but I reckon Gary Fraser could be a great option for us. Bannigan doesn't score really, and Fraser has a decent shot on him, so I think he might chip in with at least 5 for the season.
deerokus
Callum McGregor for Celtic, he's a bit raw and ungainly but strikes me as being a young version of Kris Commons. Did very well on loan at Notts County and has already grabbed a starting place in the team by the looks of it.
Highland No 1
Ryan Christie is an amazing prospect for ICT, can also see Liam Polworth and Calum Ferguson being other starlets who will shine bright.
jagfox
Stevie Lawless Failed to sign a contract last season and saw limited game time due to some niggly injuries and a drop in form. Still scored some decent goals and provided some assists. If given more starts he will deliver even to gain that dream move that never transpired last summer... Moo
Paul McGinn. I know he has potential and supposedly is a decent player but I think we'll realise just how good a player he actually is.
welldaft
I suppose we must turn our attention back to Domestic matters Dom Thomas, Lee Erwin and Jack Leitch. All on the fringes of the 1st team and if McCall had the balls to use either of the first 2 on Thursday instead of opting to hold what we had - we quite possibly would have got another goal. IT HURTS... Lee Erwin looks from what I have seen to be a better prospect than John Sutton, bearing in mind he is still fairly young. Thomas is a tricky wee player. Quite lightweight but will create and score chances if giving the option. Leitch - played in a few games towards the end of the season inc against Celtic where he performed admirably. Possibly a better player and prospect than Carswell. Given our small squad - all 3 are likely to feature at some points this season.

chomp my root
Probably to the derisive snorts by followers of some other SPL teams I'm going to say Gary Harkins. He's been hugely creative for us pre season and he does seem to do his best work in dark blue. We've got a few others who may fit the bill, as has been said by kevthedee, Luka Tankulic has been fairly prolific in front of goal and as he's been plucked from the obscurity of 4th tier German football has that element of exoticness that can make a signing more interesting but still early days. Letheren was arguably our 'star' player last season and as one of the 'diddy' SPL teams he may have the chance to be so again if we're struggling at the wrong end of it.
