scrooge1928
City play Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale in the Qualifying League tonight, kick-off 7:00 pm. The game will be in the main stadium, not the 3G pitch. Entry at the black gate beside the dressing rooms. We and Edinburgh Leisure have been having too many problems with the 3G now that the Sports Centre shuts at 8:00 pm - access and toilets being the worst. At the last home game all the helpers who would deal with problems were at a concert in Glasgow, so there was no-one with any experience to sort things out with the gates. We can't let spectators into the dressing rooms, so there will still be problems with the toilets. McDonalds across the road is the best alternative. We are in discussions with Edinburgh Leisure about making facilities available which won't let our local scum have a free hand with vandalism - at the 3G, toilets were open for the first match but a group of kids sneaked into the Sports Centre and caused mayhem. After that the stadium staff locked up everything which could be locked up.

newcastle broon
Wow,!!!! What happened at the pennypit last night ? watched a good close physical game between Preston U20's and LTHV U20s ( although by all accounts they are all just 17). LTHV won 2-1 despite a weak Referee who let go numerous what can only be described as assaults on the baby crew of LTHV go and play a staggering 8 minutes of injury time which saw LTHV combat an onslaught from Preston and hold out despite finishing with 10 men as the impressive no 4 was sent off for a second bookable offence, Although the Game should have been well finished by then. What I witnessed then can only be described as deplorable as a Group of Preston players assaulted a LTHV player and Parent in the Tunnel which resulted in a keystone cops moment of see how many men you can get into a small corridor breaking it up although only after it escalated into a Brawl, The Police were called and order restored but Preston did their selves no favours as this didn't show them in a good light in an unprovoked attack on the Parent and Player, Are all Friday nights like this ???? Going by the previous 8 pages of reading I'd say NO??????

Tony Wonder
Was at the LTHV v Spartans game last night. 4-2 to LTHV, really god standard from both teams and they both tried to play it on the deck. Will say the ref was abysmal though, he managed to send off 2 Spartans coaches and a Hutchie player as well as dish out about 8 yellows in a game where there wasn't a bad tackle.
Jambogaz
I was also at the Preston game as my son plays for LTHV , decent game of football , good 3 points for us, the ref was shocking, here's the highlights, I never got any scrapping as my bat ran out, did get a wee bit on my mobile though. https://youtu.be/cj_fRI3XlZg Edited October 25, 2015 by Jambogaz

HI HAT
Went thru to East Kilbride on Friday night and saw an excellent game. 2-1 to the home team it could have been a few more but for the city keeper who unfortunately was red carded with only 2 mins of the game left. He was sweeping as the rest of the team was pressing for an Equaliser. The forward and he tackled , the ball came down at the forwards feet and the keeper going for the ball brought the man down. A red might have been a bit harsh as it was nearer the half way line than the box and the defenders were getting back but the ref called it as he saw it. The city attack was boosted with the bringing on of the lad who scored there goal, and he enjoyed telling the bench how he felt. If there is such a thing as luck in this game, the city team better start getting some soon even if you can see improvements every week. Seem to be too many silly wee midfield lapses and a reluctance for the forwards to have a shot at goal, it was a filthy wet night on Friday and the Kilby keeper wasnt really tested by the city team. See what happens next week. HI HAT
HibeeJibee
Congratulations to Cumbernauld Colts U20s... who skelped their Deveronvale equivalents 4-1 in Banff today to reach the Last 16 of the Scottish Youth Cup. Rab B Nesbit
Well done to our young side who made it 3 wins in a row with a 2-0 win at home to Spartans tonight. That's 2 clean sheets in row now from a team that had been leaking goals.
uptheslope
Just back in from the Whitehill v Spartans game after a marathon bus trip. We were treated to a fireworks display but not on the pitch in the first half. The Whitehill keeper pulled off two great stops in the first half but that was about it, the game was stop start with a lot of fouls from the away team whose sidelines weren't slow in letting the ref know their feelings. Second half Whitehill began to take control and two quick goals put them in the driving seat, Spartans had a late rally and threatened late in the game but the Whitehill defence were strong enough and again the keepers handling was first class. Another good advert for this league and Whitehill will be hoping they do the double tomorrow.

Good report UTS ... the fireworks is a new club initiative aimed at improving match day experience Ben did really well in goal ... not bad considering he's been number 2! The future is bright in the goalkeeping department.

Don't know about that mate my sources say he had one in the Club across the road, Not Illegal !!! but just seen the footage that shows Preston players spitting at LTHV, That in itself is a Disgrace no matter what else went on, Yes the Parent was involved but I saw the whole thing and it was 3 x Preston players that started it , No Question ?? not Up for Debate, FACT !!!

Rab B Nesbit
WW trailed 3-0 at half time at home to Edusport tonight. Ian 'Rafa Benitez' Flynn had a quiet word at the break and they won 6-3 to make it 4 wins in a row. Well done boys.
