A big thanks to Kettlewell who secured Dundee their top six finish with a pointless equaliser.

Extra revenue which is invaluable and means if we do decide to pay anything towards our pitch it's covered through the top six finish, meaning no decrease to our playing budget.

Getting Livi out the leeague is another bonus - complete diddy team and the derbies are going to bring in more money.

With Docherty at the helm and a full season in the legs of the likes of Lyall Cameron we should be looking ahead with positivity.

Wouldn't mind the Perth being replaced by Kirkaldy to top off a very good season at Dens.

It's not over for us yet though and we continue with the development of our young team with all eyes on Dens park come Wednesday. Can we end the knuckle draggers title aspirations?

Thank you.

We also need to thank the Motherwell board for splaffing all their budget on their pitch. Cheers guys.

If I've worked this out properly it'll be an extra home game v Killie with St. Mirren having an extra home game v Hearts. On current form not sure which is better

So despite claiming otherwise, the SPFL just released the post-split fixtures:

Dundee vs. Celtic - Sunday 28th April (15:00, Live on Sky Sports)

Dundee vs. St Mirren - Saturday 4th May (15:00)

Hearts vs. Dundee - Saturday 11th May (15:00)

Rangers vs. Dundee - Tuesday 14th May (19:30)

Dundee vs. Kilmarnock - Saturday 18th May (12:30)

Best set of fixtures we could have hoped for in all honesty. We welcome the European push.

You'd hope that by the final game that Killie might be on holiday by then.

Getting St Mirren at home is good as well.  And we should have beaten Hearts in the previous match at Tynecastle.

Rangers and Celtic games will be the usual free hits - hope we actually have a go those games instead of trying to defend.

Almost - if we could swap the Hearts and Celtic games around they would be perfect.

Robert Thomson of The Sun suggesting that Sky are wanting the SPFL to pay the £100k bill of them sending TV crews to our twice postponed Rangers game and the SPFL plan on passing this onto us tomorrow in the disciplinary meeting.

Must be true if it's in the Sun lol 😂

In all seriousness,  its never going to happen and if it did ( it won't) then I'd hope the club would fight back.  Plenty of things the club could do to hit back at Sky. For example next time there is a live game on Sky and the fire alarm gets set off then evacuate the stadium and cancel the game. Let's see how Sky react to that....

To be fair, Robert Thomson is generally on the ball when it comes to Tayside - and I should clarify that it does say 'up to'. Here's the link:

Either Sky should have insurance against postponed fixtures, or the SPFL should have insurance against Sky billing them for postponed fixtures.

Postponement of a televised fixture is precisely the sort of "low likelihood, high impact" event that insurance is designed for.

Mental the SPFL would fine us because of weather and not fine Rangers every week for their sectarian singing.

Mental but entirely not surprising.

I always thought that we would get a suspended fine, like Motherwell and that would be the end of it. Terrible precedent to be set here if they try and hound us for money because of postponements. Especially when the fixture can be played.

SPFL thinking: Lets charge clubs an insane amount for sub-standard technology that sub-standard referees continue to make mistakes with every weekend, lets make sure the big two get the most amount of money whilst the rest fight for scraps balancing the need to maintain their facilities whilst also putting a semi-competitive team on the pitch. Then, just then, we'll make sure that when a fixture is postponed and the big team along with the tv companies stamp their feet we will just go after the club in question.

Did Rangers even get fined for their pyro nonsense earlier in the season and for the disruption that had on the game? Did they f**k.

Good point well made.  Also, how many fans have Rangers identified and banned?
