Our game could effect top 6 and not sure when they could play it before cut off date for splitting league otherwise. realmadrid Posted March 9, 2015 Share Posted March 9, 2015 A bit disappointing that the work going on, on the stadium is work on the existing roof of the Main stand and a toilet block in the south stand which indicates that neither a pillar free stand or a proper upgrade of the South stand as discussed on here are even on the agenda. I know not everyone uses the Dundee forums, be it Mad, or the vastly superior TheDarkBlues. So thought it'd be worth posting for everyone on P&B Colin Reid's fan Q&A with the board: Stadium and infrastructure. A lot of money has been spent on the Stadium over the last 18 months though much of it will no doubt be unseen. Major investment in the Stadium and infrastructure was a priority for the new Board when they arrived and much has been done in a very short time to secure the Club’s ability to continue to plat top flight professional football at Dens Park Works and investment undertaken include: - Major dressing room and wet area refurbishments including major heating plant upgrades.- Installation of a new pitch irrigation system to ensure that Dens Park retains its reputation of having one of the best and enduring surfaces in the country.- A major Stadium pitch refurbishment last summer to ensure quality and durability for this season in the Premiership.- Under 20’s matches played away from Dens Park to reduce the usage and wear and tear on the Stadium pitch.Purchase of new tractors, grass cutting machines, aerating equipment etc to cater for the increased work load resulting from the maintenance commitments acquired as part of the new arrangements entered into with the University and Michelin.- Increase in Ground staff to facilitate the additional work loads.- A 4 phase refurbishment of the steel works in the roof of the Main Stand was started last summer and Phase 2 will be activated this close season.- Upgrades to lighting and investment in LED technology is ongoing within the offices and lounges of the Main Stand.- New Ladies toilets provided at the South Enclosure.- New Laundry equipment in the form of Commercial gas dryers and washing machine. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
