He came on as a sub a couple of times in that position last season and was very good. Granted it was very limited game time.

I don't recall that at all. Granted, I didn't watch every single minute of every game, or anywhere close to it, but my only recollection of Reilly doing anything whatsoever was when he was playing in an advanced role on the right side.

It doesn’t matter about his defensive capabilities. If you play a back 5 you can get away with a winger at wingback.

For example a team of McCracken, Ingram, Portales, McGhee, Graham, Reilly, Sylla, Mulligan, McCowan, SPH and Murray could be a 3-5-2 and a 4-4-2 at certain parts of games.

to be totally honest I’m still not even sure what Reilly can do , having played all of 3 minutes at the end of a game so far and having been on the end of arborths pumping

Reilly is not going to do shit, he's not fit enough and is always injured and for that reason alone the club. Probably can't trust that the player is going to pick up another injury similar to his other ones the guy is made of glass, and imo will be released at the end of the season by the club  I'd imagine. Very injury prone, and let's be honest he ain't starting in any Wingbsck roll what so ever in a too tier game.

A pretty savage assessment but, sadly, probably true.

The above link is for the planning application for the training facilities at Riverside. The closing date for comments of support from Dundee fans is open until the 22nd of August. I know the design team. A lot of hard work and time has been put in to this so comments/feedback from Dundee fans would be greatly appreciated.

Supporters of the club involved in the development and improvement of it? What's not to love...?

Genuine question -

What on earth has given rise to this notion that Charlie Reilly is going to be playing LWB/FB?

Asked this the other day - it’s mind boggling.

He needs to prove he can play at top flight level first - then we can think about changing his role…

Just provided a statement of support for the training ground. Very easy to do and took no more than a few minutes. C'mon fellow Dees, back the plan

Actually being fit enough to play would be a start.

Talking about him going to LWB is premature at least.

Once he is fit, I've no doubt he'll be put back out on loan.

Am I right in thinking the last time we actually paid a fee for a player was jack Hamilton?

We paid a fee for Simon Murray, as well as Astley, Carson and Sylla in our current squad. Between Flapjack and now, we also paid undisclosed fees for Tyler French, Shaun Byrne and Andrew Nelson.

There's definitely a player in Levitt but he's never really shown much for anybody other than under Tam Courts.

Bit of a weird move if his apparent transfer to the Dees as part of a swap deal for McCowan is to be believed.

If he plays well for you guys 🤷 Like I say there's a player in there but he's really not hit the heights that brought him so much love from United fans since he moved away.

Was next to useless in our downward spiral but maybe he can kick on after a less than ideal spell at Hibs.

Where are you getting this 'info' from?

Thank you.
