Ira Gaines
Well... f**k knows what U2 are up to. But they have a new album out. For free. On iTunes. Checked my iTunes this morning and there was U2 stuff there, which I sure didn't download, and sure enough, 11 new songs sitting there. Not checked it out, but it's a free album so I thought I'd throw the heads up out there.
JamieStevenson
Cheers for that. I doubt I would have ever noticed. U2 giving everyone their album free, must mean it's shite?

More likely a publicity stunt. I'm about to give it a bash. It's apparently not a bad effort. U2 also don't have to release a good album for it to sell well. Paris Hilltoon
didn't radiohead do the same with in rainbows? decent album to be fair Sort of. Radiohead let you pay what you wanted for it. However they did it off their own back and the download was from their site. U2 are obviously getting something from apple for doing this.

Christophe
Not happy with them calling it the 'biggest album release ever', doesn't really count when you're forcibly sending a digital file out.
Casual Bystander
I haven't listened to a U2 album more than a couple of times since Joshua Tree, I have heard snippets of this one and it is rank rotten from the parts I've heard.
Ira Gaines
The first half of the album is reasonable enough I reckon. That's about as positive as I can get about it.
