Boostin' Kev
Decided against it. Said I wasnt going to go to anymore of these reunion tours (did Screamadelica and it was pretty good). Would probably arrive there expecting a 1990esque performance and would no doubt be let down. some things are best left to memory imo.

I never seen them back in the day (maybe you did?) so it's a must see for me. Pixies reunion show at T in the Park is one of my top gigs ever but some shows can be a let down, I agree. On a semi related note I've stopped buying reissues of albums I already own
Boostin' Kev
Never saw them first time round they played on the day my old man got remarried.
Thundermonkey
The Pixies on their Doolittle tour were immense. MBV were utterly ferocious, twice. I'm fairly relaxed about reunion gigs. I've seen one of the disastrous Happy Mondays reunions so there is a low benchmark.
Daydream
Not sure if it qualifies as a reunion but New Order were outstanding in Glasgow last time (2012, I think). I've got to say that Ride were top of my 'hope they reform' list. Maybe I'm destined to be disappointed
kiddy
Did you read the Daily Mash story from earlier? http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/arts-entertainment/man-faces-pretending-to-like-ride-all-over-again-2014112092949 ROFL @ the bit about Catherine Wheel, Lush & Chapterhouse.Take it this has S/O, or have tickets not gone on sale yet? Decent live, saw them at the Calton Studios (90), on the Nowhere tour & Barras (92) for GBA.
groaninjock
Got four tickets, can't wait. My next three gigs are Manics playing The Holy Bible at the Barrowlands, Noel Gallagher at Hydro and Ride at Barrowlands. I'm going to party like it's 1995. kiddy
What is it they're taking nowadays, £30?
Thundermonkey
£30 including booking fee. Totally sold out though. The venue was decent, saw Radiohead there as a support act.

Thundermonkey
http://www.thelineofbestfit.com/reviews/live-reviews/ride-delight-in-an-evening-that-removes-any-thoughts-of-nostalgia Review of the Saturday night. I cannot put into words how good I thought Ride were on Friday night. So much so I'll forgive the fedora.
pantene proV
Yep, Seagull & Drive Blind were absolute perfection on a night full of highs. Loz is such a good drummer. The only disappointment was that they didn't play Unfamiliar What a great crowd though
Boostin' Kev
Mate of mine said they were really good. They had a spare on the night as well but didnt know until on the way through.
