jmothecat Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Not be irritating you much then JMO I genuinely think he looks at an issue thinks 'what would a left wing person think, I'll say the opposite.' Some of his views on Abortion are particularly galling. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

~~~ Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 No doubt you'll hear the new favorite line about not allowing the people who want to break up Britain having control of the country/national defense 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Geronimo Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Brace yourselves for Caroline Lucas tonight. Now there's a real politician. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Adamski Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 In a crowded field Douglas Alexander really is one of the least likeable SLabs out there. It's as if he came from a factory that makes career politicians. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
FuzzyAffro Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Tim Stanley said he wished Alex Salmond was dead. Outrageous that scumbags like that are given a voice in UK MSM. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
oddly optomistic Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 I don't doubt it but can you provide a source so we can see the context?I think he said "why won't he die" when Salmond announced he was standing. Not quite the same as saying he wished he was dead. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
You don't think that's the same thing? Asking why won't someone die isn't the same as wishing they were dead? Seriously? On the BBC too it was, our state broadcaster, that we pay for. Which is supposed to represent us and be impartial, nobody picked him up about it. You think if I asked why isn't Cameron dead yet on the BBC there would be no reaction? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
I didn't say anything about the bbc. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pandarilla Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Yeah I remember watching that at the time. He's an arsehole without doubt, and the British nationalism is cursing through his veins - but I think you're making it sound a wee bit more sinister than it was. Part of me wants to watch tonight and see what his opinion is now but it just gets me angry. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Can you imagine the field day the press would have if someone on the Yes side said that about Cameron? They would have 24 hour coverage of it, we got a week about an egg. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
FuzzyAffro Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 That wasn't a joke at all. This is why I get annoyed at you, you will even lie in order to appear reasonable. Sometimes the truth is unreasonable. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
