County v Maureens 17/1/15 - how many points are at stake really?

Just posted this on Black & White Army. According to The Sun:

Ref made decision based on fourth official
Fourth official said it was violent conduct as the ball was out of play
Panel saw ref hadn't blown and play continued
As a result they decided it was "recklessly dangerous play" and dropped it to a booking.

Which seems to suggest that the correct outcome was reached.

If the 4th official was basing his red card on Arquin having some 'afters' when the ball was dead, then that is clearly wrong - whether the ball did or did not actually go out of play - as there's no way he made that tackle thinking the ref had already blown and the game was stopped.

The ref should have picked that up at the time though, and saved us this whole fiasco, and the very real chance that it could have cost us the game.
