invergowrie arab
No thread in this. I thought it was brilliant. Fantastic acting and whilst I love some tits and heads getting chopped off this just shows you don't need it.
paranoid android
Aye, that boy that's playing Cromwell sure can act - without doing very much at all. Acting without acting. Brilliant.
Romeo
Body swerved this as I thought it might have been like the steaming pile of shite that is the tudors. Worth having a look on catch up?
mjw
Seems the actor playing Cromwell is one of the most respected theatre actors in the Country. As posted above his acting style is not doing a lot but you can't take your eyes off him when he's on screen.
invergowrie arab
Body swerved this as I thought it might have been like the steaming pile of shite that is the tudors. Worth having a look on catch up? It's nothing like the the Tudors. That's all people shouting and storming about to show dramatic and important everything is.This is all people staying entirely silent and and giving knowing looks to show how dramatic and important it is. Seriously though it's really good if you are interested in political drama and power games. Eta the missus thought it was really boring but I think she thought she was getting a real life game of thrones. She was also educated at Linlathen High in Dundee so doesn't know the back story. scottsdad
I've not read the books, but I am enjoying this. It's a slow burner and the actor playing Cromwell is excellent. Speaks quietly, moves slowly but takes up every scene.

paranoid android
Brilliant series. Fitting that the final image focuses on the two things that have dominated the series: Mark Rylance's eyes!
invergowrie arab
It was really good. Sign of a brilliant drama that it can draw you in even though you know what happens to all the characters
jmothecat
Really enjoyed it. Best thing I've seen on tv in a while. Rylance played Cromwell brilliantly.
