2-1 Brechin ..........Depending on the ref !

Care to elaborate?

No need to elaborate after that. The ref obviously decided at half time that the first booking was going to be for questioning one of his peculiar decisions.

It was all pretty even until the penalty award. This seemed to fire up Brechin (perhaps with a feeling of injustice) who proceeded to dominate . We scored an excellent equaliser and pushed for the winner , but time unfortunately ran out. Thompson made the difference when he came on , perhaps proving that Storie is not a centre forward. Paul McLean was magnificent at the back as was Gerry . Bobby Barr was his usual busy self but perhaps missed Jacko's back up play to help him out.

Some really physical challenges in the latter part of the game which earned the Morton lot a heap of yellow cards. Some lucky not to be straight reds in our view. The we no7 in particular was lucky to stay on after raising his hands to Trouten off the ball.

In all I think Morton will be the more relieved team at the final whistle as it looked only a matter of time before we got a winner. Will need to see the highlights to see if the disallowed one was offside or not. A bit of debate as to whether it was. The ref decided it was offside so that is the final decision.

If you think drawing with shite like Brechin is "acceptable" then fair play mate. We have a budget and players that these yokels could only dream of.

Bit of a charmer eh? Been valentines and everything I was expecting the love.

Seriously crawl back to your west coast hovel with the moneyed crowd.

Brechin should have won that in the end. Morton were poor and didn't show anything to suggest they will catch Stranraer. The hammer throwing defenders spent much of the second half kicking Bobby Barr off the park.

That wee bobby barr is a cheating, diving disgrace. That's why.

Happy enough with the point. 4 points away to Forfar and Brechin is a vast improvement on our defeats in those matches earlier in the season. We all know that our defence, and defending as a team, isn't very good but these are the kind of points we need to pick up if we want to win the league.

7 of our last 12 games are at home, starting with Stranraer next week. We've got a good chance.

Noticed that Stranraer are away in 7 of their last 12 games. Including away games against ourselves, Forfar, Dunfermline, Peterhead and Brechin.

If they are top of the pile after that lot, good luck to them...

That was an absolutely terrible game of football. Duffy's absolutely clueless: Miller and Forbes in central midfield didn't/won't/can't work; Pepper is wasted out wide; Crighton's terrible; Stef McCluskey on the wing is predictable and ineffective. Why did we not bring on J. McCluskey for his brother? Why did he choose to commit the cardinal sin of changing your centre-back partnership during a game? Why is Sean Crighton still playing?

^^^^^^ verge of tears, seething, etc

Happy with a point after goin 1 down but thought we were gonna go on and win it! Every city player was up for the fight ! Morton fans are lambasting Barr but he was kicked and elbowed whole 2 nd half ! An entertaining game that could easily have been 4 4 ! Defo missed Jacko s non stop running up front tho ! Also thought Smithy done well early doors with some fine saves ! Great free kick from Barr into box for equalizer !

Watched the game as a neutral and a draw was fair. Not sure why Crighton gets so much criticism I thought he strolled the game till Thomson came on. Agree with the comments re. Duffy THAT was a poor substitution. It was a superb delivery from Barr for the equaliser he was a stand out for Brechin. Caused problems all game. What was wrong with MacDonald today?

It was a stonewall penalty, as video evidence will prove when we see it during the week. A stupid challenge that fully merited it's punishment. I can't comment on the offside decision because I was at the other side of the ground but I fail to see why the referee influenced the result more than a referee would in any other run-of-the-mill third tier game.

Perhaps you're just a conspiracy theorist that loves to think that the world's against your team when, in actual fact, nobody gives a flying fuck about them?
