We've lost one goal from open play in the last 7 games. And only one goal in total in the last 4 games. Great to have a side that is organised and can defend. Gasparotto and Lindsay have been superb.

Ayr look in trouble but I think Stenny probably have the harder run in. I actually think a draw is a better result for Ayr with that in mind.

No idea if it was a red or not but it puts us in a bit of a bind for Saturday. We're already struggling for width and we'll end up with a central midfielder on the left wing now.

Difficult to judge any player tonight but Crawford was an absolute stand out. Hope Forrest is back ASAP, major lack of creativity without him.

No, it's been Greggy on the TV and Greggies at your rancid outfit in this household.

Gutted for you.

I didn't really think it was off, I was just hinting that you are maybe taking this worrying obsession with Ayr a bit too far sitting in the house on a Tuesday night with a semi waiting on the final whistle so that you can post this pish

If this was real life you and your clones would have been served with a restraining order by now

Erm, it is real life champ, and your dross outfit are heading to League Two. At least you're taking it well though and not having a neurotic breakdown.

Game was over as soon as Blakeman was sent off, It was over the other side of the park from where I was but if it was in line with some of the other bizarre decisions from the linesman and ref then it wasn't sending off

We defended well enough up until Donald gave the ball away and he and Murray escorted the Airdrie player to the byline before allowing him to send in the cross

McGovern was poor, Murray was an empty jersey, I don't understand why McCall dropped a forward and played Robertson in the Forrest role

This, I think is where the lines blur for you, this is an internet forum, not a personal exchange.....this is not real life champ, If you tried to be as much of an obsessive irritant in real life you would either be punched in the face on a daily basis or sectioned under the mental health act

Try spending less time dreaming up the above claptrap and more time trying to find your exotic away matches on a map for next season. Or alternatively; stop posting on a public football forum if you have an issue with other posters pointing and laughing at your slapstick outfit on a weekly basis.

It's not claptrap, as you explained above, this is your real life which is perhaps one of the most tragic things I have ever read and goes some way to explain why you put so much effort and importance into this forum

Seek help, although I think it may be to late

Didn't get a good view of the red card, and don't know Ayr's team well enough to know if the guy would have made much of a difference, but we didn't really make the extra man count, and never really dominated the match. We struggled to create chances, and lacked Lister's presence up front. One thing's for sure, we'll really have to step up a gear if we're to take anything from Morton on Saturday and keep our play-off hope alive.

Positives...? McNeill had a great save towards the end, and Bain's run and cross to set up our goal was a joy to watch (not for Ayr fans, I guess). And, of course, that's us unbeaten in eight, having let in just one goal in the last four. Our good run of results continues.

Ayr were better than when we last played them, but that's not saying much. They scrapped well and didn't make it easy for us, without themselves creating many clear-cut chances or putting us under sustained pressure until the very end. I still think they're likely to survive the playoffs if they finish 9th.

We were playing a kind of 5-3-1-1 with Robertson playing behind Preston, once Blakeman went, Robertson dropped deeper so It didn't change the shape too much after the sending off, It just meant Preston was isolated a bit. Had we been playing Beattie or Donnelly along with Preston I think we would have struggled more to re-adjust

Once Beattie came on and we went with two up front we pressured a lot more, but that involved playing diagonal balls in to the box again and again which didn't seem to work and I think Donalds effort the keeper tipped over the bar was the only save he had to make in the second half

After tonight, it's an absolute mystery as to why Roberts didn't play/refused to re sign Crawford. Best player on the park by a mile.

Because Roberts is an utter fucking imbecile, second only in the holocaust stakes to Allan Moore and the Sevco gardeners over the last couple of years.

I'll just leave this here for the Ayr fans:

Montrose will be in the Highland League next season from the look of things.

This season can't be over quick enough.

Lindsay's doing well. More solid than BRE. Made a couple of silly mistakes over the few games we've played but none that resulted in goals. To be fair you expect that from a young defender.

Boyle is widely considered as a contender for POTY. He's our captain and the most consistent player in our side. Really hope he stays next season.

Lindsay's a better player than BRE, and 3 or 4 years younger too. Don't want to jinx it but he's been great so far.

Boyle's up there for POTY for me, consistent and could do a good job at Championship level.

Cheers gents - good to hear Lindsay is doing well; thought he would and not really sure why we signed BRE. Glad Boyle is doing well too, really liked him when at Thistle.

Good win again last night - still remember the good rivalry we used to have; would be good to see you having a bit of success again.

Edit: that sounds very condescending - not intended to be in the slightest.

He's come back from injury/illness mind. Unfortunately not EVERYTHING is Markos fault. Great seeing him back to his best though and even a goal!
