Not being a business guru but would the repairs not come down to legitimate overheads and a necessity for the business, so any costs would be offset by any tax on prophets (sorry couldn't resist -my bad ) but the point being that the only reason these 'repairs' would be an issue is due to a cash crisis as these would be acceptable running costs. The problem would be convincing HMRC that you have bought a load of gear from Jewson's although other building merchants are available and with it being a non-diddy club is not blessed with part time tradesmen therefore it could look as if they have indulged in some cash in hand , nods as good as a wink to a blind badger know what I mean.. The cost of repairs and ongoing maintenance of Ibrox will be more than a new stadium surely. The fans will never accept knocking down the big hoose though so they are stuck with it.
