Thistle Bonnet Posted April 28, 2015 Share Posted April 28, 2015 Someone I know - she's a member of the SNP - asked a question about Trident at a Hustings Meeting for Rutherglen & Hamilton West. Stock Party answers from all the candidates but her supplementary question was "Would you personally push the button?" All the candidates including Labour Careerist,Tom Greatrex, and the young Tory said No...the only exception was the Liberal Democrat who said yes he would! Quite astonishing - I have never been one for supporting a political party blindly like a football club but I tend to hold fairly radical liberal views. The current Liberal Democrat Party has only the name but none of the values of the true Liberal tradition - is this the same party that boldly spoke out against the Iraq War just a few years ago?.
