Thursday means nothing

Yeah but then you denigrated them by calling them intellectually dishonest and fuzzy, they are neither of these things. The SNP are progressive and do enact policies that pursue social justice, there's nothing intellectually dishonest about that at all.

Its intellectually dishonest plus hugely damaging to use the word socialism as nobody is proposing any form of that.

And you say that people in the street don't understand these terms, fine most probably don't, but that's a different point. These are terms with specific meanings which the SNP adhere to, if people understand them or not isn't the point. They are not hazy or fuzzy or ambiguous.

People also don't understand what socialism means that's why so many yes voters used it when it was never on the table.

British nationalists, think one win in the most underhanded fashion ever settles the question for all time. Aw bless.

No, not all time, just a "generation".

If you feel so strongly then why not start a political party whose objective is to dissolve the Scottish Parliament?

I'd much rather not spend my spare time on such turgid pursuits.

Well, the first one was won by the good guys. So it has to be best of three at least, everyone knows that.

My only regret about the last year's referendum was that there was no option to dissolve the Scottish Parliament entirely.

Scottish nationalists, respecting the democratic will of the nation, well unless they give the wrong answer, then we'll just keep asking.

You lost. Get over it.

Do you mean like this generation http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8655579.stm

Yet still we had an election five years after this once in a generation chance.

Nobody from the SNP said they wouldn't try again for a generation, and it wasn't in the Edinburgh Agreement. Nae luck champ, its neverendum till we win.

Get used to it.

The SNP adheres to them because that's how they've recently repeatedly and I'd imagine purposely decided to labeled themselves. Say you're Progressive and have Social justice answers enough times and it must be true and can only be a good thing surely... except these fluffy, feelgood labels themselves as perceived by your average punter (perception is more important than any cherrypicked definitions) say nothing of the content, quality, fairness or effectiveness of the policies.

It's a brilliant and well-timed propaganda trick, to be fair.

I also regret the lack of this option. Mostly because it would have been utterly hilarious to watch this option poll 3% of the vote and lose its deposit.

As Eck said, Thatcher's best legacy in scotland was turning holyrood from something that was a nice idea to something that was a total necessity.

No its not, you're talking utter shite. Offensively stupid comments. The SNP have not decided to pretend they are a party of social justice and progressive politics and label themselves as such. The SNP have been in government for 8 years and have been enacting policies that define them as a party of social justice and progressive politics.

There is an enormous difference. The party you're thinking of is Labour.

Your missing the point spectacularly, but I'll leave you with your party political tribalism driven cognitive dissonance.
