I think most Whitburn supporters would tell you that the team wasn't good enough the last 6 years.

....and Blackburn fans will tell you we're never in a position to bottle anything! Plus first league defeat of the season. A stupid comment.

That said it's Tranent and Whitburn going up unless Whitburn really bottle it.

That'll be the defence that has the second best record in the League, only Tranent having conceded (1) fewer goals.

I can only comment on what I've seen/played against, don't know whether the defence had an off day or not but definitely didn't look like the 2nd best defence in the league yesterday. Big boy up top was a handful and number 6 was decent(although a lot quieter than expected) but other than that I don't think Whitburn had anyone that caused us much problems. As much as they had a bit more possession there is no doubting the best chances fell to us, twice being clean through with the keeper making good saves and missing from 10 yards with 5 to go. Also hit the bar from close range in first half.

Your being kind to yourself there by saying 2nd best defence. U have played 2 less games than Blackburn and 5 less than Tranent. We will see how good your defence is with the goals at the end of the season.

A few stats after Dunbar's game Vs Rosyth..

Sam Young scored his 123rd and 124th goal for Dunbar to put him joint 4th top goalscorer in the history of the club.

Chris Grant scored his 71st goal for the club putting him joint 12th top goalscorer in the history of the club. And make his 232nd appearance for the club putting him 18th in the list of all time appearances.

Dean Ballantyne scored his 2nd hatrick of the season in his first season in junior football.

Darren Gillon scored his first goal for the club after signing from newtongrange at the beginning of the season (apparently his first goal in 5 years).

And in other news..

Sam Young signed a contract extension with Dunbar last night, after taking a few weeks to consider the other options he had on the table.

Things looking up for Dunbar?
