bc57
Well done Forth. Clearly deserved Champions with a great run of form that one can't argue against. Lanark competed well tonight despite going behind to an early goal but were always chasing the game at 2-1 when Murphy got his 2nd yellow on around 75 mins. Thought Forth and their bench were really about themselves from the off. Had we got the break of a penalty for handball at 2-1 with about 30 to go, who knows? Losing at home to Ashfield and then away to VoL the following week really did us in as far as our promotion hopes went after such a great start. Finishing the season stronger, Forth have shown us how to do it. Got some good players, who all look very fit.
wanderers4life
The amount of handballs Lanark were guilty of tonight was shocking, never mind your pen claim, competed well, I'm not sure Murphy red card was deserved, unfortunate, good lad Murphy, we're the champions, league tables don't lie, mon the wanderers, booooooooom!!!! Murph may well be a good lad but, there is absolutely no question that both his yellows were warranted and he nor any of the rest of us had any argument against the ref showing him a red. tambothejambo
Thought Lanark bossed the second half with Forth getting nervous the longer the game went on. Two good teams the difference last night was Mr McLaren

Two good teams the difference last night was Mr McLaren Indeed. We had a free kick in the same position as you got your second. Your keeper comfortably saved ours at 1-0. You go up the park and rattle one in. Quality counts at critical times.

Seen him a couple of times not at best but he absolutely bossed the first half. Some energy.

bc57
Took in the game last night If Lanark can keep the squad together especially McCrum they will there or thereabouts next year We have a good squad with some very talented individuals, who try and play football. We would benefit from greater cohesion and, in some cases fitness.

Difference was forth made more clearcut chances and McLaren took them. Impressed with Lanark last night

Viewparker
Thought Forth thoroughly deserved their win against Lanark. It was a cracking game with good players on both sides but Forth just had that touch of quality. Noticed they had narrowed their park by about three yards since my last visit and that really suited their hard working midfield. Good luck next year. Park narrowed as there are soft areas at the side of the park. Drawing the park in has meant games have been played that would have been in doubt with the wider park. Couldn't agree more the tight park suits our intricate passing game.
